Yes. You can pm the mod directly, pm a supermod or pm an administrator. You should be clear with you complaint and can even include links to examples.

Mods can see all deleted posts. Just point them to one near by. They will find it.

Why is this site - and this site only - slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter today?

It's fine on my end. Perhaps you could do a traceroute to see where the hangup is

So, a post isn't really 'deleted', it's just removed from sight.

Admins can delete permanently on vB. As far as I'm aware, mods need special permissions to do that. Depending on member permissions, as well, you can see posts you've deleted on your own visitor wall (which I think CFC doesn't allow you to see the deleted ones).

We have the option to either hard delete the post (permanent) or soft delete it where it is hidden. We always soft delete it. Soft deleted posts can be viewed by mods and restored.

What about spam? What is the point of having restorable spam?

Depends upon the Spam. Advertising Spam get sent to a special thread where we can report it to the Spam database. Spam threads generally get removed while spam posts often get soft deleted.

We have a number of options available to us. :mischief:

Do you guys have a special thread for the funniest spam posts?

I actually collected the different types of spams recently, for educational purposes, but have not yet had the time to put the thread into SF. Contains also some of the funnier things, but else, no, not special thread for that.
