Someone here on CFC created a 18 civ world map with Atlantis in it. Alexander was on an island in the middle of the Atlantic, just out of everyone's reach, but with a bunch of resources.

Was quite fun to play.

sounds like fun, can you upload it?

number 3 actually made me laugh, which is bad when one is enjoying a beverage...

Latest news from that game (I accept no responsibility for keyboards damaged by beverage spillage)

1) the barbs are long gone but the Great Barbarian Road has been upgraded.
2) meanwhile, Qin is convinced that the new arctic fleet he is building will change the course of the war.
3) sending huge stacks of rifles and knights to attack someone who just got modern armour will get you only one thing - war weariness.

EDIT: picture 3 was supposed to show the unhappiness details - he had something like +16 war weariness - but I must have uploaded it wrong...

"We must build an Arctic Fleet!"

"Um, sir, it can't get through the ice..."

"Then we must invent icebreakers!"

Aha! but you've missed his master plan!! He's building something that can be upgraded to a sub!! You're all secure thinking his caravels are stuck behind the ice, and before you know it, you'll be swamped by a mighty fleet of submarines!!! :D

^ Any reason that your playing as the beleaguered former coach of the French national team?

Not the same guy! When I created this civ I just thought up a bunch of random names for it and not being much of a sports fan I didnt know (or care) who the former coach of the French national team was. (Also unrelated to someone caught in an "issue" with Amtrak.)

I guess Ill just start googling names before I use them.

I've heard ppl on these forums argue about how good the levee is and if its worth placing a city for future immediate gain or a future levee. Well I found this in a recent game in my old neighbours territory. Once I razed the city and fixed the location, this is my Levee City packed with watermills in State Property and a GA.

381 hammers before a factory & power plant, every tile has the levee bonus :D Maybe not funny, but definitely fun!

Spoiler :

And you're not finished yet. You have a huge food surplus - you can grow that quite a bit yet and put a long row of Engineers on to increase that massive base production even further. Nice city.

Can you see what Caesar's 11 workers are doing?
