I wasn't laughing when I got this:

Is that a mod that generated such a starting position? I have a hard time to believe Civ IV would do that.

In any case, pretty hopeless. Though it would be fun to try to make the most out of it. Hm... or not.

Doh! That's what I get for posting while I'm on the phone! Sorry, Ruff.
 - no worries. Its just that EF knows me too well ... or is use to my silly comments

My biggest city in my current (ROM+AND+HAND+Polish Empire+Custom Leaderheads+Civ1 style earth map edited a bit by me) game:

Still growing, still free plots to work on on 3 plots radius city size:

Current map of Empires and all Leaders (some of them are vasalized - Obama for example, but not Chinese and Incas):

Thanks.

Europe connected with North America via set of sea tunnels (from Europe via Britain via Iceland via Greenland)

Europe in whole look, with all many special resources. Conquered long ago Rome (bye Benito). Capital city Cracov is building canary while lack of food, largest city here also (now 64 population) and on left part of City Warsaw (46 pop) and 5 turns to WTC wonder. 5 turns for Internet in other not visible here city, and notice Great Prophet in middle of map glowing white near salt resource.

to say that it is impressive would be an understatement. i ahve never managed 22,000 research points. or 12,000 culture. or anythign else.

Keep in mind that it's heavily modded and has been modified by FanaticNoob. I remember a contest to see who could WB the largest city and we found that they all stalled out around 68 or 69 without corporations, great merchants, or other modifiers like that.

BTW, Fanatic Noob, people appreciate if you keep multiple posts like that as one post. Just sayin'
And welcome to CFC! :band:  :band:

okay Mao ... i'm offically confused ... where was you from again? ... China or Sumeria?

Yeah, I think that 26k of research is nothing special in ROM+AND+HAND, as in all those mods there very many extra tech increasing buildings and modifications to current ones (like as university works better when you research new science based techs). Also on this map I added as much resources as almost possible, co cities are very strong by that. I will try next time to post as much as possibe in one post, thanx for great welcome :)

Sumerians built the Parthenon, and I clicked on the little blinking light to view their city while I was preoccupied by something else. I did a double take then a triple take when I looked at their food resources. Wow. Standard BtS.
