What am I supposed to be seeing here, exactly?

4 workers supposedly in process of building one road. ( although technically the hover info often lies on ai workers)

Indeed. They built the road, and then one-turned a mine afterwards. I guess they didn't have much else to do, so everybody flooded to a tile that could be improved. Admittedly not as cute as seeing one worker building a mine and another building a windmill on the same hill, but I take what I can get :D

Oh geez. Looking over some more images, I see more Einsteinian workers...

Yes, that's a genius building a cottage over wet rice. Maybe not the dumbest thing they've done tbh, as I was about to capture the city...

Yep, good idea.

Three turns later...

...I see it. The right side is the whale's front, with the river looking like it's mouth, the two tiles sticking out the bottom is one of it's fins, and the tip to the left is it's tail fin.

Bismarck building Stonehenge in Berlin and finishing a Monument one Round later in his 3rd City.

Spoiler :

All I can figure is that the fort Justinian's caravel used to get into this two-tile lake was paved over by either Giggles or Pacal and it's been beating its head against the rocks trying to get out every since.

I got two Great People in a single city on the same turn! I didn't know that was possible.

It's not that they don't have cities, it's just that I haven't discovered them

Ok that function works different for me.
The civs showing zero cities are vassals. BUG only reports the number of rival-vassal cities you directly know about because the vassals’ cities won’t be listed on the trade screen because you can’t demand a city from a vassal. You can (sometimes) demand cities from rival non-vassal civs, so the civ’s cities will be on the trade screen and BUG will count them for you.
