Nah, why would they need to be over ocean water? How could primitive Romans who have not yet teched radio perform such an undertaking? You can't explain that. So it's really obvious that they were constructed by archaic barbarian peoples with the help of their prehistoric alien ancestors for unknown purposes using technologies far in advance of ours

These "crazy aqueducts" are an all too common theme here in these screenshot threads, all the way back since civ4 vanilla. Wacky great wall constructions are another category. They were never fixed even after civ5's been out for some time
