Previous Turnchat Instruction Thread

Previous Turnchat Summary:
This was an eventful turnchat for sure. At the start of the chat, we signed MA's with six other nations as agreed to by general consensus in the previous discussion thread. We fired artillery at German, Japanese, and Babylonian ships to ward them off and attacked them with Destroyers and Battleships (of which we didn't lose a single one, I might add). Not a single troop landed on our soil this chat, due partly to naval action against them (we sank two transports and a galley) and also the MA's we signed diverted them to other targets. England was destroyed within a few turns by Germany (predictably). We also disconnected the Babylonian oil several times with our Bombers in Persian Landing. Also, we discovered Computers and Fission, so we are now able to build the SETI and the UN. Germany and Babylon also have Computers and are building the SETI. Finally, we sacked Edo with our planned invasion force and built the new city of Spiceland in its place, though we took moderate losses in the attempt (approximately 5 tanks). I disbanded two of our transports for a harbor in that city; it has all the shields needed for a harbor.

Happyness
We have acquired a new city; Spiceland. It has Spices (hence the name) connected. It will finish a harbor in 1 turn. This will have a positive effect on happyness.

I checked what will be done to happyness when we adjust the slider to 0% now. The following cities will go into disorder (group A):
Skunkworks, Bootia, New Jedina, Iron Hills, Go Home Xerxes and Persian Landing.
The following cities will be on the virge of riotting (Group B):
Nar Shaddaa, Thebes, PDX III, Malvern Hills, Thebes and Noshuret.

If my calculations are correct the Group A cities will not riot when we have Spices online. This has the following effect on the:

Slider

Preturn: 10% lux, 60 % science, 30% tax. This will give us Rocketry in 4, at +111gpt (+37 if we remove Wealth from the queues) .

Turn 1: (When Spiceland has Spices online)
lux 0%, science 60%, tax 40%.

When there are 2 more turns before we research a tech, move the slider down if and only if we won't need extra turns to research that tech.
Again, when there is 1 more turn before we research a tech, try moving the slider down if and only if we won't need an extra turn to research that tech.

Domestic request to Governors

1) To the Governor of Capitoline:
Place immediately the SETI-programm in front of Gorina's queue

2) To the Governors of the Provinces in which the cities of group A (Skunkworks, Bootia, New Jedina, Iron Hills, Go Home Xerxes and Persian Landing): Make a happyness-generating building As Soon As Possible.

3) To the Governors of the Provinces in which the cities of group B (Nar Shaddaa, Thebes, PDX III, Malvern Hills, Thebes and Noshuret): Put a happyness-generating building somewhere down the line of your buildqueues, if the city is still growing.

Worker actions

Pollution:
Clean up pollution as soon as possible with as many workers who have nothing to do as possible. As soon as the pollution is cleaned up, check the city in which tiles the pollution was located for laborer reallocation.

Tile-improvement:
Use the workers with nothing to do after the pollution has been cleaned to uimproved tiles within city boundaries. Use around 6 workers for unroaded tiles to build roads and as much workers as needed to finish the improvement in 1 turn.
Domestic isn't happy with the worker distribution in the mountains near Wandering Gnome hills. Please move in enough workers to have at least 6 on each mountain to finish a road there in 1 turn.

Protect the workers who are working near enemy units.

Since perfection resigned as Governor of Quirnial and the new Governor has not yet been elected, the Domestic Leader takes his responsibility and posts the Buildqueue.

Chat Log

Our war continued as planned. We performed very well in this war. Several Babylonian battleships were sunk and we lost a couple of destroyers but no battleships. Also, Babylonian bombers based in Zamua and Sippar attacked the improvements around Persian Landing and Babs Landing, as did some of the battleships, but our fighters based in those cities shot down about a half dozen of those bombers during this chat. We made large air raids against Babylonian targets on the island, particularly the oil and the road connecting the port city of Sippar to the other three on the island as well as those cities themselves. Several Babylonian ships bombarded the area around Coneland but we redlined many of them and forced them to retreat. A fleet of our Destroyers and Battleships moved slowly along the north coast of the island, sinking Babylonian ships and bombarding the island heavily. In addition, peace was signed with Japan but they redeclared war a few turns later due to an MPP with Babylon and tried to attack Spiceland with cavalry. They actually did manage to destroy a Mech Infantry but the city held firm. In addition, we razed Satsuma with the huge garrison of tanks in Spiceland and gained five workers. However, the thing we all feared has struck Fanatica. Most of our nation is poised to fall into disorder next turn due to war weariness and though no disorder has struck our nation yet it will break out next turn. We must figure out how to combat war weariness, including perhaps signing peace treaties immediately with our enemies.

In addition, we discovered Rocketry and Amphibious Warfare from the Persians in a tech deal and also discovered Space Flight. We are within 3 turns of producing the UN and the SETI and we are within 4 of building the Apollo Program and starting our spaceship.
