We are interested in sports and war (preferably history) games. As you know our console has great graphics so that should not be a problem. You are free to make high graphic games at will for our console. If you make a game for the Pheonix console we might consider paying for it.

Verily, then. We are planning on developing a new basketball game which will be called: "Mad Skilz: Street Ballin'" for Pheonix console exclusive for $3,250 per quarter, which should add up to $13,000 [$5,000 + 4($2,000)] by the time it is released as it will take 4 quarters to develop the game. I do understand 4 quarters are long, but one of our goals is to ensure the quality of the games we develope. We will, of course, speed up the development as necessary with proper funding.

Sincerely,
Isaac Hayden
Head of Hayden Games

OOC: Sorry for double posting. My mistake.

Hmm. Moose, is there any way to negotiate agreements with sports leagues for use of their teams/players? (Like Bill Belichek cant appear in Madden because hes with ESPN, who has his rights, so instead he is Coach New England Coach)

Hockey or football coming out next turn, probably hockey. though I would very much like to do both.

Or would there be any way to negotiate with the government to get some money from them for advertizing the military within the games?

Well, For a very heavy price I guess I could do that.

Or get the military to use the games for training. I know they do that with one or two, forget which...

how heavy is heavy (shall do it eventually, need to know when I can afford it though)

I know that Dangerous Waters, Silent Hunter Series, and Battlefield Series are being used in US Naval Academy to train their Midshipmen.

If you have funds for this quarter still available, CW Inc. is interested in developing a game to fill the lack of Simulations on your console. We would give you exclusive rights to the game New Nation, detailed below:

New Nation
is a strategy simulation game where you play the leader of a new nation in some region of the world. When you begin the game, you choose a region and a basic ideology or reason for the creation of your state, and the game simulates an alternate history wherein your nation is created. This feature allows for infinite replayability, as there is no exact duplicate timelines. Once you take over your nation as the Father(or Mother) of it you lead it through its growing pains, dealing with unrest, international opinion, alliances, science and even war. In New Nation you control everything, from your economic policies to the building of infrastructure to your foreign policy.

Throughout the game you play the role of your leader, so if you want to hire advisors to increase your options you can, or you can centralize all power with yourself. When you order military action, you watch masterfully rendered battles from the sidelines. The Battles play out in cinematic format. And when it comes time to step down, you make the choice whether your ready to give up your baby yet. And for those who just aren't ready to give up their nation after their leader steps down, dies, or is deposed, if you turn Revolution mode on, you can create a new leader and lead a revolution, or attempt to gain control of the government democratically. Such freeform, total control as you're given in this game is unprecedented, and the possibilities are infinite. How will you lead your New Nation.

Over-The-Top

Aiko Sakurada was sitting in her plush office looking rather smug. The magazine had brought unprecedented wealth and attention to the Karui Kiba Corporation. She loved attention.

"45%," she read softly, out loud, to nobody in particular. That was a good number. It was so close to half. She closed her eyes and spun around in her chair. 45 percent! A girl could do a lot with 45% of the market. She could -

"Sakurada-san!" It was that Kenta.

"Yeah?"

"Mr. Isaac Hayden of Hayden Games wishes to parley with you. It's a business meeting."

"Cool."

"The infuriating part is that he thinks I am your secretary!"

"Yeah, Kenta, just, well...let's do a luncheon again."

She giggled softly and covered her mouth. She remembered Isaac's incredulous look when he found out that the head of the Karui Kiba Corporation. That had been worth it.

"Get us reservations at Q's."

"Why can't you do it yourself?"

"I have to change! I can't be seen looking like this!"

He looked at her incredulously. She looked perfectly fine. But he sighed, exasperated, and got the reservations.

-----

Q's was one of those restaurants owned by a Japanese man who barely speaks English. His limited knowledge of English led him to think that Q was a very cool letter and a very apt name for a restaurant. It was very, very trendy though, which is why Aiko Sakurada wanted to eat there. The food portions were far too small and the prices were far too overpriced, but this was Tokyo, Japan, it was her home court, and she had to show off.

To celebrate the occasion, she of course had to wear something ridiculously outrageous. It was some crazy and outrageous combination of olden-style Victorian garments with some inane childish features. It was a fad and she liked it and so she had to go wear it to get attention that she was meeting some foreigner at a fancy overrated restaurant. It was overly formal and so cute that diabetics had to inject themselves with insulin.

"Drive me," she said, clutching a parasol. Who needed a parasol outside, it's so freakin' cold, thought Katsu. And why am I driving her? I'm the PR guy. I should be doing PR things.

"Why am I driving you? Go get a limo if you want to be driven around."

"'Cause a limo is over-the-top!" Her voice was at least an octave above normal. It probably had something to do with her look.

Your outfit is over-the-top, he thought, but he kept this to himself. Some battles you could win, and none of those had Aiko Sakurada as an opponent.

-----

Isaac Hayden was told that the reservation was at 11:30. It was so ordinary. He hated it. He decided to show up at 11:32 for kicks. His plan was thwarted anyway because Aiko didn't show up until 11:37.
