Over-The-Top
Aiko Sakurada was sitting in her plush office looking rather smug. The magazine had brought unprecedented wealth and attention to the Karui Kiba Corporation. She loved attention.
"45%," she read softly, out loud, to nobody in particular. That was a good number. It was so close to half. She closed her eyes and spun around in her chair. 45 percent! A girl could do a lot with 45% of the market. She could -
"Sakurada-san!" It was that Kenta.
"Yeah?"
"Mr. Isaac Hayden of Hayden Games wishes to parley with you. It's a business meeting."
"Cool."
"The infuriating part is that he thinks I am your secretary!"
"Yeah, Kenta, just, well...let's do a luncheon again."
She giggled softly and covered her mouth. She remembered Isaac's incredulous look when he found out that the head of the Karui Kiba Corporation. That had been worth it.
"Get us reservations at Q's."
"Why can't you do it yourself?"
"I have to change! I can't be seen looking like this!"
He looked at her incredulously. She looked perfectly fine. But he sighed, exasperated, and got the reservations.

Q's was one of those restaurants owned by a Japanese man who barely speaks English. His limited knowledge of English led him to think that Q was a very cool letter and a very apt name for a restaurant. It was very, very trendy though, which is why Aiko Sakurada wanted to eat there. The food portions were far too small and the prices were far too overpriced, but this was Tokyo, Japan, it was her home court, and she had to show off.
To celebrate the occasion, she of course had to wear something ridiculously outrageous. It was some crazy and outrageous combination of olden-style Victorian garments with some inane childish features. It was a fad and she liked it and so she had to go wear it to get attention that she was meeting some foreigner at a fancy overrated restaurant. It was overly formal and so cute that diabetics had to inject themselves with insulin.
"Drive me," she said, clutching a parasol. Who needed a parasol outside, it's so freakin' cold, thought Katsu. And why am I driving her? I'm the PR guy. I should be doing PR things.
"Why am I driving you? Go get a limo if you want to be driven around."
"'Cause a limo is over-the-top!" Her voice was at least an octave above normal. It probably had something to do with her look.
Your outfit is over-the-top, he thought, but he kept this to himself. Some battles you could win, and none of those had Aiko Sakurada as an opponent.

Isaac Hayden was told that the reservation was at 11:30. It was so ordinary. He hated it. He decided to show up at 11:32 for kicks. His plan was thwarted anyway because Aiko didn't show up until 11:37.
