Gen. Rommel
Wüstenfuchs
Also agreed Steph...

Looks really good!
But could you make him more like this, so we can use him for France, North Africa, and the US?

TopGun said:No, no. Keep him the way he is now. You can always make a somewhat different version (with a fez, if you will) for France. I like the fact that this guy has the US kepi.
I haven't seen a picture on-line of them with straw hats. In all of them they wear a chéchia (sort of a cross between a fez & a beret with a long tassel).Yes you can, I think you should add a Louisiana Tiger also with a straw hat and striped pants to the zouave line up though.
I would say luckily for the poor soldiers that would have had to be in those units they were never feilded. One attempt to resurrect the pike as a primary infantry weapon occurred during the American Civil War when the Confederate States of America planned to recruit twenty regiments of pikemen in 1862. In April 1862 it was authorized that every Confederate infantry regiment would include two companies of pikemen
Looking at the art Wyrmshadow posted, I notice that Legionnaires' pants would be a good place for civ-color.You can really mix things up allot which is a good thing for unit creators.
The amazing thing is that he held up so much weight for so long without getting a hernia!BTW did you know Robert E Lee supported a unit of Confederate Pikemen during the Civil War![]()
But wouldn't pikemen have made for better pickets?I would say luckily for the poor soldiers that would have had to be in those units they were never feilded.
