[RD] George Floyd and protesting while black

Today I have lost all respect for security forces (Police, National Guard, Military). A few bad apples spoil the bunch indeed.

We're living in the ACAB spring

also when it comes to policing...

The protestors are a bunch of animals burning down cities, lynching and murdering people and rich corporate owners + politicans are more than happy supporting them destroying houses and livelihoods. Thankfully, they're all American, so this is what they deserve for shoving their brand of fake democracy down every other country's throats.

Hopefully this will cause a civil war and we'll all be completely free from USA imperialism forever?

I think we've just reached a tipping point of raw anger. Trump is retweeting his base to fire them up, including such sentiments as "the only good democrat is a dead democrat," and the opposition is ready to just go feral as well. The media hasn't been allowed to play the neutral journalist card, because Fox has openly claimed a side. They are going to draw the same kind of fire Trump would if he made an appearance.

I don't really see how this ends, to be honest.

My guess is either Trump's base is removed or they remove everyone else who don't get with the program?

Hopefully this will cause a civil war and we'll all be completely free from USA imperialism forever?

Nah, it'll be good if they can free themselves of conservatives. Then maybe the USA can be a real force for good in the world.

Nice hot take coming from Brazil of all places lmao.

This is probably our one chance to make any sort of substantial change; I urge everyone to join your local protests voting hasn't worked, incremental change hasn't worked, the only thing the rich, the police, the elite fear is the threat of those they abuse biting back

Hah, good point. But Brazil is 100% unironically safer than America.

1) Mass violence and criminal activity is acknowledged, not glorified. If someone burned down Manaus tomorrow, it would be considered "just" another case of gang violence, but none of our politicians would rush to talk about how we need "empathy and support for the brave rioters currently destroying the city because of systemic racism", it would be a case of our politicians being completely powerless (again) due to bureaucracy and corruption.

2) People who fight to protect their families and lives are seen as heroes, not white supremacists. If you grab a baseball bat and kill the thug trying to shoot you in the head, there will be no riots defending the murderous thug, and everyone will see you as a good person who defended yourself.

3) Want to avoid violence? Avoid urbanite areas and favelas. Everyone and their mother knows that those are criminal breeding grounds. They're not paralyzed by fear of being called 'racist' by mega-rich corporations to acknowledge this blatant obvious fact.

Our people may even be uneducated compared to first-world countries, but we still have one MAJOR advantage compared to you guys. We have sanity.

When there was a Maidan in Ukraine, the US gave "useful advice" to the government:
-The police should not beat "peaceful protesters";
- "the bloody regime" must go";
- It is Necessary to negotiate with the protest leaders.

The same advice was given to the government of Syria, Libya, and China...

Question - why do the US give such advice to other countries, but apply it within their own country?

They don't. Every single major corporation and politician supports you in your valiant struggle against the working class and neighborhoods. If you were in any way, shape or form a "threat" you wouldn't be glorified by the people you think you're fighting against. You're a corporate footstool, just like all the other seventeen year old rich kids with a blue education.

I think you have a warped view of your own nation. Most of the US is no longer in denial about what it is and what its been built on. Brazil in particular has very very similar threads you seem to be in denial about that.

Do me a favour my friend and don't speak as if you know a single thing about me, you probably had a better upbringing than i did, guarantee you your schooling was better than mine, 100%.

There is a lot of debate about who is looting and vandalizing. I recall the Target being looted and one women had boxes of cereal in her hands. . . thats indicative of where we are getting just generally.

I was waiting to see the great american savior of the lesser nations talk about what countries do and don't do. Surely, a bunch of larpers talking crap on the internet know more about the people that actually work and talk here, yeah?

"Built on" haha, no. America was built upon democratic mob rule, rule of Money over rule of Ethics. Brazil was built upon Catholic and Portuguese monarchical values, and we did not change until Washington decided we weren't enough of a loyal imperial subject because of our political system. It's all the same with you people, you think everyone in the world believes in United States "culture".

I think this post says plenty about your view on reality all by itself.

Because negotiation is for democrats!

I still want America to force our government to GTFO (Venezuela) but outside that, I can't support their current actions
