One perspective I've just considered is that the Trump administration might do America good in the long run. Hillary would not have made people this angry, and people being angry (specifically in this regard) is a good thing.
Commodore thinks an actual revolution could take place, and honestly, I hope he's right. The kind of change that needs to happen to this country is something that is going to take, at a bare minimum, the amount of unrest we've had so far. The police have to fear the general public for once, and that people will start fighting back. Honestly, Bernie Sanders could run as an independent, in this atmosphere, and I am curious how well he'd do.
There needs to be a strong backlash against the systemic injustices in this country, and Hillary probably wouldn't have enabled that. I have never in my 28 years of life seen my country, as a whole, be at this level. It is uncomfortable for now, but I faithful that by the time all is said and done, the country will be better off for it. The LA riots that happened in 92, I was only 1 years old then so obviously I didn't remember.
But based on what research I've done, the riots there were exclusive to LA. This is everywhere in the country, not just Minneapolis. And I would consider that to be a very good thing.
That the current system has not only made minorities angry, as they rightfully should, but that even people like Commodore (white, and ex-military, at that) just goes to show how much potential this could have. People are actually starting to fight back. Absolutely beautiful.
The police being brutal to journalists? All the better. Especially when it's done to an international journalist. Which makes this movement not just in the US, but all over the globe, potentially.
being brutal to journalists is a great way for that news agency to give you or your institution/company bad coverage.
