So, two states (AZ and TN) have passed laws allowing guns in bars, provided that the gun-toter is not drinking.

I love this quote:

This law is pretty much the perfect representation of quirky American culture: smoking in bars is dangerous and needs to be outlawed, but by golly, packing six shooters is A OK! I love it.


I actually don't think I have that much of a problem with the law, as long as it is only a restraint on state action, and doesn't keep bar owners from setting their own rules. Nevertheless, the irony here is palpable.
