GoobNES02: The Cold Civil War

to argentina
from north korea

(occ)the only outlet i would give you is gay times and the outlet from my anus, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS

to everyone else:

i have opened the borders whole heartedly in the hope that the north and south can make some sort of informal unification.

To: Saudi Arabia, Iraq
From: Egypt

We wish to offer both of you 10 year NAPS. IT is sad you choose to distance yourself from the Arab League, but we do not wish for war to break out among Muslims. The only wars in the Middle East should be against those who seek to opress Muslims, like Israel.

OOC: I'm okay with the noobs, Countlorkin if you could by chance, you know, use capital letters, that would be nice. And Al, very very nice story.

I do resent this undeserved slight against my mate.

Alakazen was the one that some people weren't getting annoyed with. Sorry for grouping him in with the others.

Banana, I definitely wasn't talking about Alakazen. He can type properly. :p

The Charter of APEC

As Proposed in the First APEC Summit on the 21st of July, 1966

The member states of this concern confirm their support of, and adherence to the inherent tenants on which the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation was formed; chiefly, the belief in and practice of free market economics, and the resulting possibility of prosperity, self-reliance, and growth there from. The members of this concern, by supporting this measure, acknowledge a will to seek greater economic ties with their fellow peers by the gradual removal and dissolution of trade barriers, and to advance the general economic cohesiveness of the group as a whole. In so doing, they also acknowledge a desire to seek greater political understanding of one another, and to benefit mankind as a whole through such actions. They therefore agree to the following requirements of organization:

The PRC should learn to 'mind' its own buisness in matters that do not concern them.

Considering that North Korea and the PRC are Comrades in the Revolution we're not sure how it doesn't matter to us. ;)

This is a matter of immigration rights between North and South Korea you do not see us involving the USA in this discussion. Kindly keep your overly large noses out!

The Soviet Union would like to warn South Korea that the Korean War is not officially over and hostilities may restart at any time if South Korea continues to attempt and dictate to the Comintern what we should and should not do.

Threatening World War III over a nation the Soviet Union has already stated it will withdraw all forces and assistance from somehow seems rather typical at this stage. How comforting for bullies everywhere that such a perfect role-model exists for their type.

We would like to point out that the Soviet Union is doing everything possible to prevent another war in Korea. We are withdrawing our military from there to further de-militarize the area, we are going to scale back our military support to Korea, etc. In response we get very aggressive South Korean diplomatic statements addressed to our allies. Perhaps South Korea misunderstood our willingness to withdraw to help prevent a war for a weakness, and is not attempting to further bully us into giving up further ground. We want to make it very clear to South Korea that her interferance in any Comintern affairs will not be tolerated even in the slightest, and unless South Korea wishes to face very serious consequences it needs to terminate her attempts to dictate to the Comintern what to do.

Japan fails to see what is so terribly threatening about the PRC being told to mind its own business in what effectively amounts to a bilateral discussion between North Korea and South Korea regarding their mutual border. The free flow of Korean citizens between North and South has no bearing on the Chinese military presence or the Comintern as a whole, and as such neither the PRC, USSR, or Comintern have any business questioning the affairs of a soverign and independent North Korea - unless either the PRC or USSR would like to state that North Korea is their puppet, and should be incapable of free action.

Certainly, the so-called "aggressive dictation" to the Comintern is not nearly on the scale as the Soviet Union's thinly veiled threats of using its nuclear arsenal and provoking a war with both the ITO and CAN over petty commentary. It is rather disconcerting that a nation possessing such great power should have such thin skin as to threaten such serious reprocussions over something so minor. The global political stage is not Moscow, where political opponents can be silenced through threats of violence, and the USSR would do well to keep that in mind unless it is willing to push its red buttons every time another nation says something to upset its delicate sensibilities.

OOC: I wish i had red buttons to press:(
