Buce remember the capital can run 1 turn MA's by disbanding one slave in the city. The airfield can probably be moved to a mountain or hill near Munich once you've taken that city.

Ah, another fine wrinkle, thanks. We can achieve the same result by mining an irrigated plains; we would lose 1 food per turn but the box is pretty full.
But looking at the glut of slaves that we have, I like your idea better.

I'm looking forward to these turns, this game is a lot of fun.
 
Would it be likely that Germany would use it's last remaining worker to found a colony? There are 4 available sources of Uranium in no-man's land, and the only units with free movement are on our other colonies.
 
Great tip Whomp. You are an expert at getting the most out of the cities that's for sure.

Bucephalus: Germany might have slave workers (or did you check that too?) I'd say it would be OK to leave them go unprotected. If you must have a unit, you could draft one from 4 cities, and join a dead civ worker to cover.

You may want to plant on those sites. I doubt they'd risk sending a worker through the gauntlet since most of their rail routes are cut off hence the attacks I experienced on the oil colony to their south.

I'm unfamiliar with this. Do we get the unit instantly? And I vaguely remember that it has happiness issues. If it does it's probably not worth it, I'm just a little paranoid about nukes; Germany could still have a sting in the tail.
 
You get the unit immediately and you can move it just like you built it. You will get conscript mech inf at this stage of the game. Of course it adds unhappiness - but only to the city where the unit is drafted. Drafting one citizen is not too bad. It's when you keep doing it turn after turn that the people really start getting upset. Try it in one city (maybe Nampo) to see what the bad effects are. Worst case we need another clown or bump the lux up 10% more.
 
I don't think it's necessary but maybe I'm overconfident. There was no point where the Germans were able to force my hand. I think we dictate the battlefield by controlling the railnet.
 
Apologies, these are long turns, but I'll have them finished today.

I've played 7 turns and destroyed 31 cities, mostly German. They are down to 38 MI, 25 TOW.

I'm hopeful that Aztecs and Iroquois will be gone by the end, now I have more MA to play with.

With the Mighty Zerksees still to come, I'd say that we are on target to clear our continent in 20.

Hah! What a map!! Nice work Buce. The stronger military left is the Hittites and their 350 three horse chariots and spears.

We should crank up science for the finish, yes?

Quick update:
The Celts and Germans live on in history only. The game is now even - The Hittites have their own landmass and 5 cities and we have our own landmass and 5 cities. Pretty sure they have more war units than us for the moment.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to get to some RL and researching nuclear power. Oh and I have some ICBMs to "disband".

Hope to finish tonight or tomorrow. I am on turn 5 - any thoughts about extending these turnsets to 20 turns? After my next turn there won't be much to do except clean up pollution and press enter

Got bored. Decided to count our slave workers. Put them in stacks of 40. We have 387 slaves on the mainland

Turn 9: 1828 AD
All cities exc bouncing Bucket on wealth. BB building ships for zerksees’ fancy. At 100% sci we are running deficit of 18 gpt. Not bad

1830 AD – 13 to NP
1832 AD – 12 to NP. Ready to invade Hittites – bringing MA army and two MA. Our first sign of Hittite WW. MM cities
1834 AD – 11 to NP. Wreck 8 units on way to Hattusha [78-11]
1836 AD – 10 to NP. Hattusha is razed [83-11] + 18 cities
1838 AD – 9 to NP. Moving on Tarsus, clearing stray, which are everywhere they should be exc in the cities [87-11] Located the Hittite ship, it is west of us, build a cruise missile.
IBT – Left a 3 HP MA in the open and the Hittites kill it [90-12]. So much for going undefeated against Hittites.
1840 AD – 8 to NP. Tarsus is razed [95-12] + 19 cities
Two MA going after Harran
1842 AD – 7 to NP. Hittites move a bunch of spears into Hattusas. We can’t take them all fast enough. Found 42 in there. Nuke ‘em again. 13 are left. Knock off 8 of those [103-12]
Second transport drops 6 more MA next to Ugarit.
1844 AD – 6 to NP. Raze Harran and Ugarit. I did work on Hattusas a little before attacking Ugarit, but then decided it was landlocked and liked that better. Also wrecked a Hittite settler [118-12] + 21 cities
Made peace with Hittites collecting 4 gold and ROP.
1846 AD – 5 to NP. Not much
1848 AD – 4 to NP. For fun I put the Hittite slaves to work cleaning up some of the ICBMess I created
1850 AD – 3 to NP.
We can build it. We will research the technology.
And we have a slight budget surplus and 12000 gold

I will be curious to see if we can disband units to speed building ship parts.
