Graphics Modification Requests Thread

Hello...
Is this the right place to request for terrain modification?
I don't know if this is already created before.. if so, please let me know ;)

Some peaks in the world are not snowy, even covered in forest.
So I'd like to request the following:
Non-snowy peak
Non-snowy peak with some trees

While hills is like terrain ascend and then descend,
I'd like to see this :

-Hills that ascend then stagnant
-Hills that stagnant
-Hills that stagnant then descent

With little creativity, one can alter these into combination of highlands, making the already in-game non-hills grassland & plain as lowlands.

Has anybody creates this before? Or I post this in a wrong thread?

A while ago, mourndraken started working on this Egyptian wonder:

mourndraken is an expert movie maker and provided the bulk of the new wonder movies in the coming up Pie's Ancient Europe update, but would be needing some advice on how to complete this building art.

Now that the "Luxor" wonder is already implemented on PAE, we're needing either a finished version of the above or an entire new one. Would anybody be interested to create a "Temple of Luxor"?

I know nothing about building art and the L-System, but regarding the size of the structure, it would be nice, if it could be made standing "outside" the city, by default.

The building I started, is not the building. I put in some effort and created the wrong thing. All of those columns actually were part of the building and they don't really need to be there. If anybody wants to take on this building, a more accurate one can be found at Google's 3D warehouse: LINK

Things like the lines of statues leading to the entrance don't need to be a part of the build .. others ..
 
I plan to add monorail to civ mod. Now mods use graphics from FF to represent maglevs. But it dont look good. Can someone create a good graphic for monorail tile improvement (route type). I think that in near future monorail will trplace current railroad systems.
 
I would like to request a better Mansa Musa LH, according to the description by Ibn Battuta

afaik the Firaxis' Mansa do not wear velvet red tunic, neither wear a skull cap (no idea what's that) nor carrying bow or quiver..
 
@Matsuda123: I think C2C has a bamboo forest.

@BenZL43: Most of that seems pretty simple for any experienced LH maker.
 
I need a bamboo forest nif file too, I could not find bamboo in the files of C2C.
 
@Dumanios sure.. but I'm not a LH maker so I don't know how :p just probably trying to inspire someone to create a more historical version of Mansa Musa.
 
Hi, I'd like to make a request on behalf of Realism Invictus mod? We need a very generic beach resort hotel, perhaps with a pool and some umbrellas. There are a lot of examples, that all look more or less the same:

another request would be a bit more specific; basically this building:

the looks are more or less ideal. I'd rip it out of that game, but the model is far too high-poly for civ.

Unfortunately no. It seems to be a proprietary format and no converters exist from it. Anyway, their models, as I said, are way too detailed for us. Like, ten times more than Civ 4 uses. I managed to rip some directly from video memory with 3D Ripper, but they didn't make me happy. :)
 
Are the models you get with he 3D Ripper textured ? If so they could still be used to bake texture for a lower-poly model. Would save a bit of work.

In theory yes, but in this particular case the UV map came out all screwed up. I guess it could be correctable, but I wouldn't dare say how much effort that would take. The texture itself is quite available though (attached to this post), as they are all in dds format.

UV is usually rather easy to fix or remap if the texture is there. I will take a look at it, might be a bit slow however - i didn't mod anything in a very long time, so will need to reinstall all the tools etc.

In that particular case, you'd have to remap from scratch. Moreover, 3DRipper introduces spatial distortions to model itself more often than not (since it rips models from in-game "screenshots" with perspective applied). Once again, it can be fixed with some effort if one needs that particular model badly, but overall it makes the process very time-consuming. So, if you need it, here is a distorted, UV-less model.

The distortion is really weird :crazyeye: Anyways was ok for reference. Please let me know, if there's any trouble with it in game - as i said, it was a while and i might have forgotten something.
