Graphics Modification Requests Thread

Oh, you're right, there's one.
I've been a bit confused, because in the desert war xmls are special entries for the desert war civs.
At the end of Civ4ArtDefines_Civilizations in the desert war folder is an entry

PHP:
<CivilizationArtInfo>
			<Type>ART_DEF_CIVILIZATION_UK</Type>
			<Button>Art/Interface/Buttons/Civilizations/England.dds</Button>
			<Path>Art/Interface/TeamColor/FlagDECAL_UK.dds</Path>
			<bWhiteFlag>1</bWhiteFlag>
		</CivilizationArtInfo>

and the flag is really there, in the desert war folder ;).

Can I interest someone in creating the Russian Duma in Moscow?

I'd like to use it as either the Russian modern palace, or the forbidden palace, in the Cultural Citystyles mod.

Excuse me,

But are there any modifications that focus on tile improvements, such as diverse looking or altered versions of farmland, mines, towns, forest preserves, etc?

Thanks,

This is more of a question than a request that I felt did not warant its own thread. How would I import the darker jungles and trees from the Ghengis Khan mod in Warlords into my own? The terrain is easy but I cannot figure out how to get darker Jungles. On the current terrain textures I'm using the bright vanilla jungles look really ugly.

Look in Assets/Art/Shared for the Trees_1024 file. Replacing this file with yours (you need to use the exact name) will override the vanilla texture.
O yes, if you're doing that for your main game, DO NOT delete the original file. Rather rename it (like Trees_1024_original or something) before you put your own file in the folder. If you're doing it in mod format that's not necessary of course. Just created the Assets/Art/Shared folder and drop your texture file in it (again, properly named).

Hi there! I'd like to request another bilding: kopja fa. Together with Deons Turul statue, I'd like to use it as a unique monument art (for different eras then the Turul).

Please put some of them together, let's say around 5 of different sizes.

If you take the request, let me know by writing me a pm or a post in the Magyar Mods thread.

I've another request for you guys: székelykapu.

(There are much more pictures if you only enter "székelykapu" at googles picture search.)

I've seen similar elements when looking at asian buildings of GeoModders cultural citystyles mod, so it might ease your job if you take those as a base.

FfH 2 has a feature, which looks a bit like this monument.

Thank you for your hint, The_J. I took a look at that mod (what a granade of a mod!), but the closest thing I could find was the 'pillar of chains' which, I think, wouldn't be a good kopja fa. If you meant a different building, could you please tell me what it is called?

Snake pillar? Hmmm... if I'd assign a wood texture to it, it might work as a temporary replacement. Or as base for further work on it. Still, I can't put more than one of those next to each other as that would look boring. Also, it is missing those beautiful carvations. Still, for the moment, it might be okay.

Your Turul statue button looks very beautiful. Too sad that I use it as unique art for regular monument, not as UB, so don't see how I could add your button to my mod... :sad:
