Guess the Map IV: A Thousand Cries for "Hint Please!"

Difference between a country's ranking by FIFA, and another soccer -- SORRY FOOTBALL -- ranking system?

Having checked the Wikipage for FIFA rankings, I'm going to assume it's difference between FIFA and Elo rankings, which I'd never heard of until today. But that difference seems to fit perfectly with the map.

check mate...

For more information, Elo ranking system is used by FIFA for feminine team but not for masculine team. Some experts assume that the Elo ranking system is more accurate and the current system is used for political reasons.

Legend of the map: Green teams are undervalued by FIFA, red one are overvalued by FIFA

hope you enjoyed this map!!!

Got my next map data set, just need to fill in the damn thing.

30 minutes?

Is it a Civilization map or something? :p

Going line-by-line through a data table takes time!

Included the scale I used. Maroon is high, light green is low.

Luxembourg #1

GDP/Capita?

Nothing yet. It's consumption rates.

As an aside, I friggin love the blank template map I used to fill that out.

Foreigners per capita would explain US and AUS, which have high immigration rates.

If it was foreigners I'd expect the Arabian peninsula to be coloured various shades of black (Yemen excluded).

Switzerland?

No, Venezuela and Serbia being ahead of the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as Japans relative absense indicates that this is not a very general thing (like gdp or say production in some specific form of manufacturing) but a reflection of some lifestyle habit, consumption etc. that correlates with wealth more loosely.

Something like wine consumption (itt isn't wine consumption for some obvious reasons - it's just an examply).

Edit: Crosspost - yeah also Arabia.

I actually planned on doing wine consumption for my next map

Don't. That gets called in like a minute. :)

Concerning your map: Is it some sort of consumption or production of any foodstuff? Specifically Beef doesn't sound so bad. Some wealthy places with maritime cousine are underrepresented. China and Vietnam are very much into pork. Argentina and Chile prominent. It would make some sense.
Beef? :) (he asked hopelessly optimistic)
