I concemplated the idea, but it would make me uncomfortable while jogging. Well, I have other parts of me shaved :mischief:

What an evil idea. The hair would turn to sandpaper and rip my underarms to little raw strips of flesh. Women are insane.

5-o-clock shadow,
cuts and nicks,
time-consuming,
boring,
cuts and nicks

I advocate trimming.

If it can be plaited, it's too long :mischief:

I wonder how much of that repulsion is due to subconciously not wanting to seem gay?
After all, society does dictate that people should still be wary of gay people... homosexuality hasn't been socially accepted long enough for it to be okay to seem gay when you're straight, in the same way that its okay for someone to be an atheist.

You write as if shaving the armpits were the neutral choice.

Truth is, it's you who do it who owe the rest of us an explanation.

Edit: "I'm a woman" does not constitute explanation.

Yes it does! ;)

We men have a secret conspiracy set up and all decided among ourselves that we are not doing any more to make ourselves attractive then washing ourslves sometimes, shaving our face and combing our hair.

Now if everyone follows that line, and calls everyone who does anything more a gay queer we all have much less work to do and thus make the world a more efficient place.

It's like a kartel, I'm all in favor of it.

Thanks for revealing the plan

When I was at the beach in Italy, I've thought about something. Most men on the beach had long hair coming out of their armpits. The kind of hair you see even with the arms down. I consider this as deeply repulsive... but obviously most men don't bother about it. Now I wonder why would it be badly seen in the society for men to shave their armpits ? Would you feel more attractive with armpits shaven ?

Anyway, share your thoughts about it.
I wonder if it's feasible to bath in hair removal cream? :hmm:

My armpits do not have the amount of hair you describe, but hair is collects dirt and sweat and for that reason I do not like it. My hair is not shaven because I am a coward and afraid it will grow back coarser and with a vengeance

I am straight. Shaven armpits just seem cleaner, but I'll admit that I would be embarrassed if someone discovered a lady-shave mixed in with my conditioner, moisturiser, perfume, foundation, uh...

That was a slight exaggeration. I don't go for the smelly stuff ;)

I tried shaving my Armpits, but

A)It felt weird not having hair there

B)Too hard to do

C) Grew back in a week
How about waxing? :groucho:

Never thought about it, but if it gets too gross I'll trim 'em.

I wouldn't be opposed to it really, but I'm to lazy.
Yeah. Plus, I'm not very hairy.

Edit: Actually, I wouldn't shave. I would trim my hair if it were actually that long, though.

Hehe, its expected for us wimmin to have it all shaved off if we're not tree-hugging hippies or those angry we-won't-do-as-society-tells-us type lesbians! Just like its expected for us to to have our legs shaved.
Its just not alluring - I doubt FHM, Maxim etc.. wouldn't sell many copies of their "Natural Edition", nor would you have many fans of the babe thread of they all had hair poking out of the underarms, a unibrow and bushy legs!

Personally i dislike armpit hair as much as I dislike nose hair and ear hair, and to a lesser extent beards, 'taches, arm hair and well.... basically I disapprove of all hair that isn't eyebrows, eyelashes and hair on top of your head!

Like stormbind said, its just nicer to be well groomed. Feels cleaner but i agree that its a right hassle to have to keep it all neat and cleanly shaven.

Side note related to shaving: have you ever run your hands down a [consenting] lady's legs when they're cleanly shaven? Soooo silky smooth. Why can't guys be nice and silky smooth too? *pout*
