There are usually pretty women in any ethnic group, but I find women of my own ethnicity, white, to be the most attractive. There are plenty of hot Asians and Latino's out there (And some blacks as well, but generally I'm not into them) but I just find white women to be more beautiful, generally speaking.

Does anyone know if there is any form of biological reason why most people are attracted to members of their own ethnicity? Obviously that's not a rule, but you don't see many Japanese/Australian Aboriginal pairings out there. Or is it simply societal?

People who look like you (and who are more similar to you generally) are more likely to share some of your genes. Mating with them is thus more likely to propagate your genetic material.

There's a related familiarity effect, which causes people you know to be more attractive than strangers, and I would guess that people of your ethnicity will tend to have somewhat more familiar features. This should also play into it.

EDIT I should also note that of course there are powerful social influences as well. Generally we don't meet nearly as many people of other ethnicities as of our own, so the sample pool is smaller; also, romantic figures in books and movies, etc., will likely be of the home ethnicity and will increase one's attraction to its members.

But at the cost of those potentially parasite-hardy offspring being less related to you. I'm inclined to think the latter is an overpowering factor compared to genetic diversity, barring nuclear-family incest.

I find White/Europeans more attractive than any other race, because they are the most diverse looking. Not to be racist or anything but women of other races just look relatively the same because thier heritage is relatively around the same place,while people of European descent have a more diverse heritage.

I am white/latino I like white girls, mexican girls and east asian girls allthou their are alot of good looking black chicks in vegas too (not enouf of the others to comment) Blonds thou the darker skined the white girl the better (so long as she's not orange ) With mexican girls generally the lighter skined the better. Allthou i've seen some very beautiful girls in mexico who I belive were 100% amerindian.

On another note: I've got it made being half white and mexican (Other than the horrible sunburns)

Actually, my friends and I just discovered my attraction to darker skinned girls the others day, they basically were going down the line of white women they thought were hot and I basically was like, nopes to all of them, but then they names of some ok mexican and latino girls and I was all over that, as far as my skin is concerned im white, but who knows......

Typically most of the Asians (East or South) I see I find attractive, but I find many white people attractive, and though I don't have much exposure, many Blacks and Latinos attractive as well. In short, I'm good with any race, really. Blonde whites, [Asian] Indians, [American] Indians, Chinese, whatever. But if there's one group who I find the most attractive people in, it's Asians. That does not speak for who I find most attractive, though, who usually ends up being White...

Yes, there is very beautiful women in every ethnic group. I guess I like caucasions (with a slight tan, extreme pale is not for me) the most. Blacks are usually too 'plump', or on the other extreme they are too skinny. There aren't enough of them in the medium weight area. Latinos have too much in the bottom. Asians are usually too small/skinny. Native Americans often have long hair, so they score a few points there.

I like white women. For hair colours, redheads and brunettes are my favorites. For other races I think Asian women look pretty good, and I'm not attracted to blacks in the least.
