I 've heard of this before but clueless, got a link ? I'm not up on SF parody these days. and why the 'sh' ?... ish he shloshed or got a lishp ?

His great great grandson was Babur who founded the Mughal empire, which tolerated Hinduism in their subjects.
The core of the Khwarezmian Empire was indeed in Khorasan, most of which is east of modern Persia/Iran. But the Mongols also destroyed cities in modern Iran as well, notably Isfahan, Qom and Nishapur. In any case, the Khwarezmians themselves were Persians, or at least Persianized Turks.

<off-topic>I have just been reading the original Conan stories for the first time, and it's only now I realise just how much the early Pratchett novels are direct parodies of them. Makes them rather hard to take seriously, but somehow adds to the fun.<back on-topic>
The original Robert E. Howard stories from the 20s and 30s were pretty awesome though. That was my first real exposure to graphic depictions of gore and carnage. He had enough historical background to breath life into his pre-Glacial Hyborian Age, with its own mythology, etc.

obviously there is an agenda , and ı would doubt it is merely one man or two venting or even bringing the Armageddon early . Such conviction doesn't understand the word stop . It has been quite active in 2005 , could conceiveably have played a part in how serious somebody might have been in showing where the masses could have been taken . Give this to Muslim zealots and listen them on the impossibility of doing anything with the West . My posts at strategy sites lasted until people understood them , the ones on Iran's nukes and the way its leaders have been speaking out of station though got the axe immediately . The only proof ı'd have apart from happy TV leaks by the paid friends of the certain view first mentioned .

got this PDF file where a hilarious encounter is recounted , hilarous for me at least . A young American couple in action on a train on an early Moroccan morning wakes up the conductor who has been trailing them for a while . They get into an argument which then wakes up the author as well. Using diligence he prevents an ugly flare up , conductor leaves cursing the "Christian" , the American guy curses the people who are so against Christians while collecting the wad of money he was so prepared to use as a bribe and the American woman so level headed pushes a Bible to the author , the couple being missionaries on their way to Sahara and they have already given away two or three . Nothing really surprising if one looks at this from a given perspective . Please , don't get too offended but sexual liberation is within the range of tricks , especially against the perceived oppression of feelings . Quite a change from the days positional variety was a threat to man's superiority. Ain't no American invention , nor recent ; out of graduates of a school here in Turkey one or two have become famous enough to give interviews , they do have apparent reason to have particularly fond memories of a teacher . No wonder Americans find solace - a mischosen word alright - in the still strong mood which was recently defended on TV , somehow , by the images of Migs and a twisting Typhoon fighter jet . ı saw that , the presenter "brings justice to the term eyecandy."
2% of the why of the paragraph above : Ten and a half years ago , ı was in Ankara for compulsory military service when the then goverment chose a new attack helicopter as an urgent requirement . We still have none . Being a real loser , as always , ı was all "What?" at the time , hurt when ı had bet they would delay it for maybe another 10 years . These things are long running things . They run even when the missionary zeal takes a break .

ı can , but as ı said ı have about one more left -about a small war - and those ramblings are mere shadows of what people are really thinking about the self justificating approach to things that happen . There is an hope , not in my quarters though , that they will be of some use . Although it is really hard to get banned there and there , ı merely get to write ; and alas , cool stories are only trickle , from the source ı am barely connected , on the other hand the world and especially the turns it might be about to take , is not that cool . When everybody knows a conspiracy , it no longer stays a conspiracy .
