Coming back to the previous Hussite discussion:

A lengthy article in English about the Hussite Wars:

So here's a question that wasn't worth two threads:

What is up with the threads this morning about the Greatest 5 Jewish/Polish things?

You might be risking a PDMA asking that, as am I for answering, but this is what I inferred:

Spoiler :

Masada made a joke thread prodding at Poland, just for kicks probably.

Domen in turn see's Masada's name, and makes a thread prodding Jews/Israel (because they are one and the same) as a response.

Oh, I just wanted to know what prompted the OPs, I don't want to discuss the moderator action afterwards.

Thanks for the clarification.

I'm just disappointed there were only two of them.

This despite the fact that Masada is a Kiwi? Alright then. I'm the resident Jewish nutjob around here, and none of you forget it.

@Domen: I never knew Bohemia was that large. What's your source for that map?

Yup, assumption is a bad thing, ain't it?

Also you're one of the tribe? And here I thought I was the only active Jew on the forum! Or, at least in the OT I am.

Plotinus closed them for no particular reason. I thought shoe polish, then furniture polish, but then was stumped.

EDIT: I forgot jeweler's rouge and cerium oxide (for telescope mirrors), not to mention fingernail polish.

A bit like Russell Crowe, then.

Yeah, sure. Plotinus strikes me as a familiar name. Wasn't he one of these philosophers from the times of the Romans?

What are the origins of Polish antisemitism?

I don't go to OT anymore. I'm not exactly religious.

Spoiler :
Neither am I, and yeah, that's why I mentioned I'm the only one active in the OT. But whatever, that post is history now, and this isn't he place to discuss that type of thing.

Here's a question I've been meaning to ask since it came up in one of the history book threads:

Which books have you published, Plotinus? I didn't know you had work out in the public domain. Based on some of your other posts, I'd hazard a guess you write about the medieval church.

Well what do you know, I own one of those. "Not bad" he said to nobody in particular.
