Hitler & Mussolini

Any way we can photoshop one of those Nazi Flag/Swastika banners onto the background somwhere? I think that'd make it look a little better.
 
I prefer the contrasting BG. But to each his own.

If someone could photoshop a swastika banner in the background I'd suggest that bare wall over his right shoulder (left of his head from our perspective for the morons out there).

EDIT: might be hard with that shadow back there, but I'm sure someone is talented enough. I may know someone who can do it, but if anyone is reading this thinks there up to the job I would be grateful.

However a few pointers: there are a lot of extra files in there (especially texture) not to be nitpicky but since a few months back when I had memory issues I realized that LHs can be a lot smaller. this one has a lot of extra stuff and the LH nif had extra slots not needed and the bg nif as well. Its no issue I can clean it up after you post your latest

A BIGGER ISSUE
I tested it in game - looks awesome (I used the older BG I prefer) but the negative animation has some model errors. we can fix this two ways:
a) delete the negative.kf file and copy the furious.kf and rename it to replace the negative.kf

b) rerig the model (I noticed the arms have torso bones assigne dto them - maybe the issue)

I personally prefer "a" because besides that one the other animations looked great and the furious anim looks better than the arm flailing negative one.

it could be easy if you just take teh nazi banner graphic from the old armband dds and paste the red part in the spot and then add the swastika back in. I'd do it BUT I'm partial to the old BG :lol: j/k I cant get to it now,

I can't believe how awesome this leaderhead is looking so far. It's nearly finished! I took a screen-shot of it, and I have to say this is starting to look less like an LH and more like a work of art. Awesome stuff!

EDIT: And I agree that we should either use the furious or try and find another animation (perhaps from a different LH) that would work because that negative shot definitely looks horrible, and we can't let this LH become ruined; its such a damn good LH.

yeah lets just use furious - you don't see furious that often even with hitler :lol: but it works best.

also I may redo the sky in the background. the blue looks plain. I'll take a stormery cloud sky - it'll look cooler.
 
ok, happy mothers day, u mothers...:p here is fatler, v2....there are 3 files, one nif is just fatler (from the capo's last post), the other nif is the same, but with some lighting, the third is the modified chuggi hair dds.....their is a slight problem with the texture....chuggis uv map is not very well tailored for hair in the back of the head....possible solutions, a) let it be b) use the original hair (i could lighten it up some more), or c)remap the texture

in any case...we are DARN close!!!

Did anyone do this? There seems to be a augustus_caesar_idle_05_furious.kf and the augustus_caesar_action_01_negative.kf is the other one. It's okay to replace an "action" kf with an "idle" kf?

edit: @bernie14: The lighting on the fatler is off, he looks like evil possessed fatler.
 
Ok... Working from the Capo's base ( a few posts back). I think I've got the latest stuff together so we can use this as a base moving forward.

What's new:
- Replaced the furious with the negative kf from Augustus, let me know any problems with that.
- Made an "alternate background" folder with instructions
- There is "skitler" and "fatler" option
- Updated the BG with the flag one

I must say I much prefer skitler, as fatler seems to me to be "too-close-to-the-camler" compared to Frederick for example.

What's wrong:
Fatler:
- Hair is good but Lighting on Fatler is off

Skitler:
- Hair on Skitler is slightly messed up, looks fine in game to me but not so great in nifscope when rotated.

New Buttons will be needed once we are all done...

Yeah, I'll make a new button so that's the least of our concerns.

I'll take a look at this latest stuff in game (screen shots would have been nice though boys ;) ) but without looking at everything...

- I don't know what you mean by "hair looks messed up" exactly. What is wrong with it?

- The chest pound can NOT be removed because it is part of the entire greeting. Unless you can somehow edit that animation altogether it has to stay.

I'm off to check this out...
 
I put together comparison shots of "Fatler" and "Skitler." It should be obvious which one is which. If you look in the corner of Fatler's mustache (where it meets the nose on the right side) there is a problem with the model where you can see into it, there is a pink and white patch there where you can see through his face. To me this is alright because I actually prefer the Skinnier Hitler and the new hair texturing looks fantastic. We could always include both in the final version. What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, I also think if you did make a cloudy/ominous sky Ekmek, is there a chance you can make it "thunder" (like flash or whatever)? So it doesn't blend in too much with the building?

i dont know how to make it flash - but i'm pretty sure it won't blend in

Oh man, look at those!

I numbered them and reattached it so you can see what I am referring to. First of all you are right, they do not blend in too much with the building, so honestly you can select either one you want but if you want my perspective on it here goes...

1) Looks cool, but out of the group may be the one I like second least. Not because it sucks, but only because the others are so good. I like the grey motiff, to me part of being a Nazi is being drab and uniform so this sky definitely fits the bill on the drab outlook, and since its grey probably draws more attention to the banner which I think really ties the LH up nicely.

2 - 4) I lumped these together because they have a similar style and colorscheme. I like three and four the best out of these three and they are relatively interchangeable, I really like this look but I think it makes Hitler look quite glorious (sad to say there are a bunch of civers out there who are going to play AS Hitler rather than AGAINST him... but to each his own), I personally want this guy to look like he is evil so I think the darker skies may work better, although this colorscheme would probably offer the coolest contrast.

5, 6) These are awesome, may be my favorite out of the group although for the sake of the LH I think either the former (2 - 4 skies) or the next two may look better with the LH.

7) Awesome, looks ominous, and would probably make Hitler look more evil.

8) probably the most devilish here, it looks like there is a curse upon Germany... and in many ways there is when you are talking to this guy.

So I don't know. I like seven and eight because they make him look the most evil. Although I think the 2 through 4 or 5 and 6 group might work better. Sorry, that probably hurt more than it helped but I'm like a kid in a candy shop.... perhaps you can do a few versions..... :mischief:

EDIT: After all of this (especially the already annoying, sorry Huayana I mean that in the best way possible, "Hitler isn't fat enough" comment) if I hear any complaints about this leaderhead I will soon be known as "the CivFanatics Serial Killer," this LH is going to be so good I would be shocked if anyone complained about it.

EDIT 3: Ekmek, you didn't say if you liked Fatler or Skitler!
 
you try adding a stencil property to the moutasche so it shows both sides? its down in nifskope - right click on the trishape 'add property' click stencil then when it adds click on the stencil and scroll down to set it to show both sides.

I don't think this is on the mustache, I think it is on the head.
