This Swedish dream house was co-designed by 20% of the country’s population:

"(...) What does a house derived from the collective preferences of 2 million Swedes look like? The Hemnet Home, aka 'The House of Clicks', is an experiment in big data architecture, designed based on web traffic on a popular real estate portal. An analysis of 200 million clicks on 86,000 properties over a 10-month period surfaced the most desirable features and finishes on the quintessential Swedish dream home. (...)"

^ It looks to me like a very large shipping container:

But where do they want to ship these houses (and their future inhabitants?)?

Swedes like every house as long as it is painted red.

I'm wondering if those clicks came from a relatively small group of people that are really into (post)modern architecture.

I wanted the second house, but they all had interest in them from other people and only the first one was still available, unless one of the parties interested in one of the second ones no longer wants it:

Well, I wanted a less expensive 2 bedroom one, but I was told I had no chance of getting one, so I'll just have to work more.

They still havnt started building yet.

How has this thread gone for so long without a reference to the Simpsons?

I couldn't afford a bigger one, and the second one in my pic was the absolute most I could afford.

Should one become available I still want it.

Also the first one detached costs the same as the second as a semi, but I don't want to pay for a detached, would rather have that huge garage size bedroom.

And the 2 bedroom one was the same plan but without the bedroom over the garage, and full height ceilings over the second room, but there's too many people waiting for the 2 bed ones :(

Let's say, it's not a downside if it is.

But as always the devil is in the details. What the article clearly states is that the Swedes are looking for:
open plan kitchens, fireplaces, plain white walls, wood parquet flooring, granite countertops, and gray couches.
It's all about interior features, and none of it is on display with the exterior pictures of that concept house.

And that concept house?
Dubbed the most “statistically desirable house in Sweden,” the findings were translated by architects Tham & Videgård Arkitekter into a boxy 1,115 sq. ft (120 sq. meter) multi-level, 3-bedroom structure with a rather stark façade reminiscent of a modern shipping container
I.e. the Swedes clicked a lot of interior design features they liked, made no selection of exterior preferences, and THEN had a bunch of architects with a serious hard-on for somewhat neo-brutalist modernity in architecture "interpret" their desires through a design for a "dream house", that probably on the inside is supposed to contain all the desired "open plan kitchens, fireplaces, plain white walls, wood parquet flooring, granite countertops, and gray couches". But for the architects, those are only a means to an end, to sell this über-modernist exterior looking like a skip.:scan::p

(By the looks of it it's a seriously eco-friendly "passive house", very easy on your electricity bill and cheap to live in, which certainly is never an outright deterent.)
