Rotterdam in 1940 was removed by German bombers, because it was poorly placed and had obsolete architecture.

If Rotterdam existed, something weird must have happened, since Amsterdam is normally the Dutch capital, and you can't build one city just next to another.

Yes there needs to be at least one field of space between one city and another.
