How did you end up in CFC OT?

I think that the conclusion from those debates on civ4 civs was that Poland should be in because there were few african civs?

If I recall correctly, that was the completely unanimous agreement, yes. :mischief:

I think I cam here after being ran out of that other civ site which may remain nameless, after making some not-family-friendly considerations there about a very nasty american state secretary. Some things never change, given that about 15 years later I was complaining of another here!
And I wanted to find some old civ2 scenarios. Those I never found.

Yes, Kissinger gets that a lot. :p

Sign up in this forum because of Civilization 5 with its happiness issue. After that I found history forum, then I come here because here is more active and also with similar poster.

I joined Civfanatics to talk to people about Civ 3. I can't remember if I'd warmed up to Civ 4 yet when I made this account. I came to OT a few years ago because the old political discussion forum I frequented got shut down because the guy who ran the site got tired of running it.

Are there any lifetime membership perks these days at CFC??
Ad free posting and a blue banner under your name. For you, number 12, you should pay for a lifetime membership to return a small sum for the years of pleasure you have enjoyed here.

I'm curious, just how you found about about cfc so early. Did/do you know Thumderfall? 15 years or so ago he was living in NYC.

August 2001 was really early to be here. #2036!!
It never dawned on me until this post that the number in everyone's user page URL was in chronological order of when they joined.

I propose that we form a dystopian society in which people are sorted into castes based on how many digits their user has.

Two-digits like SunTzu will rule us as philosopher-kings. Three- and four-digits like Birdjaguar will be our nobility. Five-digits like me shall constitute the hearty yeomanry. And lowly six-digits like Lexicus shall be our exploited peasants.

This all sounds very fair and reasonable.

How very conservative of you. Status quo oppression is fine, just so long as you have someone to look down on. :mischief:

Typical insolent six! You better hope I don't report you to the threes!

Viva la Revolution!!

I think he didn't mean the paid membership, but simply his lifetime presence here ;).

The only thing you get for years served on CFC is shame and material for therapy.

Oh so you've been to SlashDot, eh?

Had some rare visits before but it started with 3 months "clear of civ" period ("recharge" or whatever can call that stuff). And specifically 'thread for space cadets' as I was looking for any additional space stuff (there can't be enough space stuff!)

Singing the song of angry men

As a member of the fourth-digit estate, I wholly endorse this idea.

Since we are feudally divvying up our vast expanses of land, I would like to claim Osaka in particular and, without objection from any other members of my class, Japan as a whole.

I will be an extremely benevolent ruler, mainly because I am so lazy and my expectations so low that $75,000/yr. is suffice to maintain a lifestyle that is to me absolutely regal.

Excellent! I will lay claim to the US west of the Mississippi, including Hawaii but not including Alaska.

Consider it done!

My sister lives on that side but it’s her own fault for moving to the crappy part!

Take Alaska as well and I'll rule it on your behalf.
