Break My Heart
Chewy bacon by a mile. Crispy bacon has no flavor or texture.
Sure it does. It's crunchy. That's a texture.

Hardly.
I fail to see how it is hardly. It could be thought of as either crunchy or crispy. Generally when a chef wants to add texture to a dish they are thinking of adding a crunch to prevent a bite from being too mushy or chewy or generally one-note.
When I bite into a piece of crunchy bacon, it explodes into a gravel of pork product.
When I bite into a piece of chewy bacon, it becomes a succulent piece of mouthwatering pork product.
Chewy, crispy is an abomination.
Also turkey.
Depends on on what its on, bacon on a burger should be crispy, bacon on egg chewy.
And chewy goo is a texture...?Hardly.
Best is crisp edges chewy inside. That way you get a nice initial crunch followed by a savory piece of bacon going down.
You do know that texture =/= taste, right? A burnt piece of toast is certainly textured.Certainly. Charred toast is hardly textured in a meaningful way; that's not true of golden-brown deliciousness.
Goddammit guys, can't we just all agree to love bacon in all its forms? Why can't we be a happy family and stop arguing about such trivial things!?!![]()
Fast food bacon is not bacon.Have you ever ordered bacon in a Waffle House? I have. It shattered in my mouth. The flavor was damn near imperceptible. I need to know what people are responsible for bacon like this being seen as acceptable.
