How do you like your bacon?

Which is better?

I fail to see how it is hardly. It could be thought of as either crunchy or crispy. Generally when a chef wants to add texture to a dish they are thinking of adding a crunch to prevent a bite from being too mushy or chewy or generally one-note.

When I bite into a piece of crunchy bacon, it explodes into a gravel of pork product.

When I bite into a piece of chewy bacon, it becomes a succulent piece of mouthwatering pork product.

Are you suggesting that gravely is not a texture?

EDIT: gravely? is that gravel-y or grave-ly??? Hmm...

Best is crisp edges chewy inside. That way you get a nice initial crunch followed by a savory piece of bacon going down.

Certainly. Charred toast is hardly textured in a meaningful way; that's not true of golden-brown deliciousness.

Goddammit guys, can't we just all agree to love bacon in all its forms? Why can't we be a happy family and stop arguing about such trivial things!?!

In my mouth. Cooked preferably.

Have you ever ordered bacon in a Waffle House? I have. It shattered in my mouth. The flavor was damn near imperceptible. I need to know what people are responsible for bacon like this being seen as acceptable.

Fast food bacon is not bacon.

Five Guys is ok. The best thing about them is the absurd amount of fries they give you.

I like it chewy. I really cant stand crsipy bacon. Well, I can because crispy bacon is better than no bacon.

And Five Guys is #1

That's a strong claim you're making when there's In N Out, Johnny Rockets, Rays Hell, Minetta Tavern and Burger Box to name just a few. Five Guys is up there though.
