I ain't gotta explain a thing
Most of those timurid-revolters have interesting borders (read: My eyes didn't immediately fall out).
Most, mind you. The east looks like a mess.

The Timurids were allied with the Golden Horde almost since the beginning in my game. Not fun at all. The upside was that if i survived the brunt of the invasion i had plenty of years of peace with the barbarians so i could easily focus of annexing the small kingdoms around my empire. Right now i'm bouncing between the Golden Horde and the Mamluks in terms of capturing provinces. Easy pickings for now. Just got Alexandria and Astrahan in my last batch. WOOThe Hordes can be like that. When there's more than one bordering me like that, I try to balance it so I'm not at war with both at once. That way I can concentrate my forces at one and hopefully at worst have to concede defeat. But as you saw, 35,000 isn't enough to stop a strong Timurids by themselves.![]()
For now i seem to be doing all that. So i just have to wait now.Don't you ever force integration, that will give you lots of infamy if it succeeds and it will lower relations with other PUs you might have and an huge penalty to relations if you fail.
All you need to do with PUs is form an alliance, keep your prestige very high, spam them with gifts till you have >190 relations and make sure you have more troops than they do (otherwise they'll flood you with insults to break free).
Wait once my king dies ? Or his ?That way, once your king dies, you'll have a quite high chance of inheriting them for no infamy whatsoever and you'll also get instant cores if they're in the same culture group which you wouldn't get if you forced integration.
Just be patient and remember that you can't inherit them if they're at war (you can be at war though, it's fine if you DoW someone but don't call them in).

Btw forming this personal union was quite strange. I made an alliance + military access with them. After that i claimed their throne. Their leader died, nothing happened.Oh well. Then their leader died again after a few years and i got a "claim throne CB". Strange thing is i couldn't declare war because i had an alliance + military access. I had to give up on those (and take the prestige hit) and then i could declare war and conquer them. Even tho i could annex them, i decided to try this personal union thing. All in all, it seems like too much of a bother while preventing me from having a republic.

Oh, rightIf it's a personal union, it's the same king!![]()
Also, i have a problem in my ottoman game. I researched Noble Republic but can't switch to it. It isn't even an option to chose from. What did i do ?![]()
Err where does it say these things ?Do you have the appropriate slider positions for the government type? Does the government type require that you be westernized?
Hey, is it possible to start as any of the american nations from 1400 and resist the european invaders ? Anyone ever did that ?
Also, the Personal Unions were worthless, as when the the regency was over nothing happened even tho my prestige was 100 and state relations were 200, my legitimacy was 50 tho but not much i could do about that considering i was in regency for 10 years. He didn't even inherit a crappy 1-province nation from Egypt.
