The Byzantine Empire. Since my last post I went to war against the Mamluks and Muscowy refused to join me. As a result they got creamed by the Golden Horde and other enemies.
After finishing the war against the Mamluks Hungary declared war and I easily overpowered their armies and captured every province in Hungary. In the peace deal I only got the coastal provinces so I could have a land connection to Italy when I declare war on Aragon who has now taken all of Italy save for Genoa and the Papal States. France took Savoy and Switzerland. Thankfully Aragon and France are not allied and are bitter enemies, allowing me to fight Aragon alone.
Portugal went a different route than it has in previous games. It colonized North America instead of South America. Castille has begun colonizing Brazil after gaining complete dominance over Western Africa. Great Britain is focused in Scandinavia.
The Ming Empire has kept by enemies to the east occupied, allowing me to focus on the west. The only Empire in which I faced on the battlefield and beaten me was finally dismantled by a powerful Ming Empire. I now prepare for a possible confrontation with the Ming. Though for now the Ming Empire has gained 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' status.
Current List of Allies:
None.
Milan and Naples, my two most loyal allies (those who remained allies far longer than other so called allies who were only allies until my first war) were wiped out by Aragon despite assistance from me.
