How is your EU3 Game going?

Good work in forming Hindustan. :goodjob:

Pegu seems to be doing unusually well. I've never seen them that big before.

Aceh is also unusually big, though you can't really see from my Screenshot. It may be due to the fact that I made Lucky Nations random. :)

Everything else is normal settings, though.

20 Years since Last post. I control most of Arabian Peninsula and half of Hindustan. Got my self another Bastard king, found him in forest after original heir died. Thankfully he is still a Lancaster, so mightiest family line in this game continues to hold its power (well, technically speaking, he is not part of Lancaster bloodline, but who cares.)- Lancasters family line is only present in 3 more nations, only one of them is not my vassal... so no uber family bonus to boost my relations.

This young Lancaster, despite of a rather weak claim, did inherit Swhahili's throne, so now there are 5 more nations to remove and entire Africa belongs to its rightful owners.

Screen of Europe,
Not much has happened there. 3 nations out of 6 who are present in ex-ottoman lands are now my vassals. Other three are portugal (who has so widespread empire, it had a land-locked province in russia, many small island cities and quite many one-province areas in random parts of the world. Then there's byzantines, who got their arse kicked by Bohemia and then there's one small muslim nation. Out of interest, is there any way to declare war on muslim nations after 1650?

I took Unam Sanctam as my national idea, but it's only giving "cleanse heretics" casus bellis to me, any other way how I could get casus bellis on muslim nations?

This is India. I can take control of most of Arabic Peninsual once my king decides to grow up, India is more difficult as I lack proper casus belli and these guys are not even tribal :/

Great Britan and its lands in 1667. Expansion in Siberia is going well. I have colonized everything else (expt 4? provinces in africa, which I don't see/can't reach.

For some odd reason, I find this hilarious.

I'm way behind techs tho. My average is 23. Many nations have 27, some 30. I'm still ahead of muslim nations by a tech or two, but still...

That's the Treaty of Westphalia for you. If you switch to an absolute monarchy, you gain the Imperialism CB instead.

You should change to Absolute Monarchy for the Imperialism CB. It has 50% infamy instead of the 25% of the Holy War but it works against every country. You need Government tech level 27 for this form of government.

This is Malaya in 1600. Divine Wind beta patch May 17th.

I started as Majapahit because I like the colour and coat of arms and wanted to play as hindu country. It was easier than I expected. Those two sunni bullies Aceh and Brunei did not declare war once and so I was free to colonize Java and later Sulawesi. I took half of Borneo in a war I joined as an ally of Champa who controlled the other half. Then one war of aggression against Pattani and a forced union on my trusted ally Champa and all I had to do was wait for the inheritance.

However I should have stayed Majapahit because the colour and coat of arms of Malaya are not as nice and all those cores on Sumatra were not as valuable as expected because stupid Aceh did not build one single building which would have been destroyed. At least I got the whole island without infamy, a slider move towards centralization and had a lower revolt risk.

Now I have to claim more land and form a huge army to resist the Europeans who will come and attack sooner or later. I do not want to westernize because that is boring as hell.

Here two more pictures of the world:

Apparently Burgundy inherited Norway very early because they had cores there when I had my first contact with Europe. In Scotland and northern England there is Naples for quite a while now. they have cores all over it so it does not seem likely they will get revolted away there. Even Lancaster made an appearance in this game and York is still there with three provinces, two countries I hardly ever saw come to life.

Not much to say about colonial powers yet.

LOL at Austria:crazyeye:

Majapahit is super fun to play.

I formed Malaya, colonized the West Coast of Africa then Westernized when I shared a border with Denmark there.

It's also fun to colonize the Pacific islands and Australia. :D

For eastward colonization my favorite nation is Oman. They are a trading powerhouse in a very good position to colonize everything in the Indian Ocean and Oceania.
And the world needs more Shi'a.

Isn't Oman Sunni?

It starts as Shia in the game, though IRL it's Ibadi, a separate branch of Islam which is neither Sunni or Shia.

Speaking of Muslims, here's my Ottoman Empire in 1514:

Westernized, but getting back to +3 stability is a pain. Still allied with France, who's just dragged me into a war with Castile and Austria simultaneously; we should cope though.

Annexed Mamluks, vassalised Iraq, seized Pisa when it stupidly agreed to honor an alliance with Algeria, and disarmed Castile of Algeria and Tunisia. Nibbled away at the Golden Horde and declared war on Novgorod to get the northernmost province I needed to keep Muscowy from expanding east of the Urals. Next task: "fix" the ugly border with Hungary, and then, to India!

How long does it take people to form the HRE? I'm currently playing as Bohemia and I've done the first two reforms by the 1420s, which was mainly due to me answering calls and forcing the aggressors to release other nations and vassals, but nothing is happening now.

When the Reformation hits, wait for all the religious changes to take place (tanking your authority) and then enforce religious unity. Provided that the HRE likes you, you should sail through three or four reforms just with that.

German Empire? I suspect a modded game.
