How is your EU3 Game going?

Oh, I didn't really mean to imply that China was in any way conquerable in the EU timeline. Sorry bout that. I personally hated that India and China were so easily invadable in nonmodded EU3.

Death & Taxes actually fixes this. Slightly. Very slightly. At least Indian armies are really, really powerful, and I only managed to overtake armies of 10,000 of Indian minors with 100,000s of attrition losses and a great deal of home revolts and economical issues before gaining a foothold in India.

That a foothold is possible, however...

Oh God, a country like Portugal might hypothetically conquer a province like Goa, it's the end of the world :faint:

God, do you have to claim offense? Goa wasn't near the vast expanse of Indian conquests that are possible in EU3. If you can't manage the distinguishment of these two in a nonsarcastic way, I'd prefer not talking with you. Goa is such a well-known example; you don't even demonstrate any smarts by demonstrating that attitude.

EDIT: Ok WTH happeneds. Sorry about the tone I retorted with. I'm insane after all - don't take it personally at all, please. I'm an idiot.

Basically, Goa isn't a proper example for what happens in my campaigns. :)

I thought you said a foothold? I guess you mean something more than a province or two, how unhistorical would it be to conquer say Bengal

The "Conquest" of Bengal, of course, was largely a matter of a British corporation hiring Indian soldiers to fight for them, coopting local rulers, extracting taxation privileges, and gradual economic penetration.

Well... My mistake though, possibly. Remembered Bengal's fall as in the mid 19th century. I'm not particularly well-versed at history... I just know that overrunning and conquering India completely in the 1600s should be impossible.

Definitely. Does D&T make India sufficiently a meat grinder?

It was retardedly difficult. Indian units are just as powerful as European ones, and equally numerous. They can't really leave their continent though. As it should be.

EDIT: Well, not retardedly difficult, I did manage without much issue, really... But I own the whole of Africa and Germany + Scandinavia + East France + Finland + Florida + Australia. It's hard for Indian minors to stand up against that. Issues of D&T should be fixed those places first.

How do I set foot on Australia. I have navy explorer on my boats and conquistador/explorer guy as leader on my army. They can't walk on Australia for some reason. o.O

Most of it is wasteland

Things got out of control at the end of the 18th century as new countries appeared like crazy.

This is the aftermath of the collapse of the French Overseas Territories:

That's Quebec that annexed Florida !

Here is Europe:

France is screwed, it barely has any unoccupied provinces anywhere.
I finally annexed the Papal States which spawned in Avignion.
Most of Europe seems to be affected by the new countries spawning, except for Muscovy which is strangely unaffected.
I've had Brazil spawn in my Malian lands and had to reconquer some core provinces. My South America, West Coast North America, South Africa, Arabia, Aussieland seem strangely silent.
Here's the world map 1799:

Game's going good for you huh? :) So, 1799. That means you're practically in endgame.

How was the game for you as an experience? Had a lot of fun? :)

What mod is that?
None - it's my first game. The one i started in december, never started any other game. :)

Oh it was a great first game ! Can't wait to try another one.

I'd say that's a fairly successful Dai Viet, Glassmage. But yeah, Wu will be a problem if they ever get angry at you. Also, that big of an image should probably be spoilered, for the sake of anyone without a nice big monitor.
