How many countries can you name?

76. My spelling was bad and I failed at africa, south and central america, and all those *stan countries. Since we arbitrarily change the names of countries in the English language why didn't we change all of those *stan countries to something that is even pronounceable?

And since when have there been 2 Congos?:p

It's in Red with my crummy MS paint ability

Does anyone think this is useful?

Do I need to remember the name or location of Micronesia?

Does that even make me a smarter or more interesting person?

People love you at pub trivia nights?

170. :smug:

I missed Monaco, Albania, Kuwait, Gabon, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Djibouti, Rep. Congo (Stupid Congos!) Comoros, Seychelles, Maldives, Cape Verde and a bunch of islands in the Caribbean and Oceania.

I got 15 on the 6-letter cities and missed 4 on the Civ quiz.

When one comes to CFC OT it can generally be assumed that one likes doing relatively pointless things.

143. I would have done better had I not gone out of order. Like I missed San Marino and Liechtenstein because I went randomly and covered up the map with the tags. I mostly missed island nations. I even got all the micronations!

The Congo thing was such a scam. I entered 'The Congo' 'Democratic Republic of Congo' even 'Brazzaville' and got nothing.

Got 38/47 on Euro capitals. Missed the capitals of Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Moldova, Cyprus, Malta, Liechtenstein...and the thing is, I know them but couldn't recall them!

Got 46/47 Europe countries....damn San Marino...

Got 15/20 cities in France.

What's really annoying is doing it again and getting the same score- but missing different countries. The map is too small and the names too big to see where I've skipped over, even if I am trying to be methodical.
Yes, a poor tradesman blames his tools.

I found out that it accepts "DRC" for Democratic Republic of Congo.

I got 27 on the pigs one. I missed Hungary, Philippines (??? i thought island countries were bad for Pigs as they ruin to much soil) and Denmark.

http://www.sporcle.com/games/6lettereuropeancities.php

that one is hard. Only got 13 out of 22.

18.

Speaking of Sporcle

Anyway, I got 185 out of 195 countries right.

40. Couldn't get Friedrich (although I did keep trying various spellings of Fredrick), and Samarqand.

175? Impressive.

I'm rubbish at the African capitals, as well as the spellings of those I know.

The African ones aren't so bad, actually. It took me a few tries to get places like Yamoussoukro and Nouakchott, but I get most of them. The Caribbean now that's a real challenge (the "Saint" countries for instance). The only Asian one I couldn't get was Myanmar's (damn junta changing the capital) and the European one I couldn't get was Reykjavik (forgot the y).

I can't take these kinds of tests unless I'm allowed to go in some kind of order and have a map where I can see each of them; doing it this way gets confusing and lowers your score.

Exactly!

Subset maps don't friggen help either, when it seems completely random which European countries are included on the subset and which ones are included on the main map. Just feed it to me one continent at a time in a full map, and if I need to cycle back and forth between continents, I should have a back and forth button.
