The opposite of Mark's thread. So, say abortion was going to be illegalized, but you could stop it by paying a certain amount of money each year. How much would you pay?

Imagine as if you were buying votes in Congress with your money.

I wouldn't, but if a friend needed to go somewhere to get one, I would try to help defray their expenses.

BTW, the money solution should not be about giving more money to members of congress, but giving money to solve people's problems.

Pro-lifer here so I doubt you see me paying for this practace :p.

I can honestly say without a second of doubt that if the religious right becomes powerful enough to illegalize abortion that I will leave this country. Not simply because of that one issue, but because of all the other freedoms they would be able to trample on also. That in itself would be painful financially, but doable.

That is quite undemocratic.

Good to see you completely misunderstand your constitution!

And the choice for abortion is up to the woman who owns the cells/foetus/thing.

Not some religious meddler with a recruitment agenda.

If you are so concerned about life, do you want to protect the children who are killed
from the church's policies of anti-contraception? From starvation, AIDs, and over-population?

Interested to know....

But this isn't some third world sleaze bin we're talking about, right?

Are there any moral standards anywhere anymore?
(It's ok, I know the answer already)

I didn't know the American Dream involved being unrealistically rich just so you can join the big folks in a little bit of corruption....

It underlines the new order of unspiritual, corrupt religious people perfectly.

They want to buy the laws that will gain their faction more power...
(Exactly the kind of thing that their idol, Jesus would have whipped their hides for)...

It is quite clear these people have total moral bankruptcy.

Humans.....Pfffft!

It comes from his belief that us heathen people should pay,
because his religious leaders disagree with the concept.

Perhaps religious people should pay to worship,
otherwise their creed would be made illegal...

Then that would justifiy the god-botherers!

.

I wouldn't pay anything, but I would violently demonstrate. If abortion was to be made illegal in the UK there would be one hell of a riot.

Yes, the source of all disagreement with AT, here, is the result of your own ignorance. Just remember that the next time you dare hold an opinion contrary to his own.

I wouldn't pay anything, wait the girl to give birth and use the baby as human sacrifice.

Planned parenthood is one of the charities I contribute to on a regular basis.

The dollar amound is quite variable, your poll should have been linked to income.

Linking people's right with money is immoral.
But killing inocent children through abortions is immoral

I am only more conserned with aborted fetuses that would have the potential for life. I fail to see how children can be killed from the policies of anti-contraception since without birthcontrol, life is created.
