How To: Make Leaderheads! Ekmek's Guide

must be one of your export settings - i only opened your blend and exported the file and had seperate objects (somehow you must have merged the materials through the export [but there is also the combine materials setting] - normally the scripts create for every part with individuell material an own object in the nif), Attached the exported but not nifswapped file

No, custom animations means new animations. Ekmek is experimenting with editing the animations as far as I understand.

Yeah I've been editing animations to either get rid of ploblems or make them more unique. its still a learning process. attached are two pictures to get you there. pay attention to the red marks. to get to pose mode click on the skeleton. to make changes to a bone click to a scene and click that bone and move it or clear its movement. then press "i" (insert key i guess thats what they call frames) choose LocRotScale. I'll try to add it to my tut and it would be interesting to see what scaling during an animation would be like

Hey, I'm having another problem with another LH for some reason. I could always go back and fix this the hard way but I was just wondering if anyone wouldn't mind taking a look at these files and letting me know WHY this happened.

This is my latest blend and last two nifs of the Lalibela LH. I attempted to NifSwap it on to Asoka and for whatever reason it was slightly off (it is a bit forward of where it is supposed to be). I didn't use a custom LH to make this, just the regular Asoka, I didn't move Asoka at all (all I did was delete a bunch of stuff and edit the nose a bit), so perhaps I accidentally did something wrong and I was hoping someone could tell me (a) what they think I did wrong, and (b) if there is any easy way to fix it without having to make the whole LH over again. This is the last LH I need for my new mod so I'd like to get it over with and start working on the... ugh... python... :crazyeye:

just import the one you nifswapped onto. usually blender lines it up. if not you should be able to line it up easy.

So you're just saying to go ahead and NifSwap it, save that nif, then import that nif into Blender and it SHOULD line it up? I could try that out, thanks. :goodjob:

Now this is interesting...

I'm making a LH with a custom object - armor to be specific. I did the nifswap and everything goes fine. I look at the leaderhead in game and the armor looks okay; at the moment it has shaders turned off. I look at it back in Nifskope and turn the Has Shader option to yes.

I bring it up in game, and the normals are flipped! How did that happen?

maybe do shaders with the stencil property? did you make custom shader files?

Please help! I wanted to make a new Leaderhead, but I have got problem with alphachannels.

Look picture: (I circled the problems)

I assigned NiStencilProperty too, but it didn't help.
Please help!

btw: If my problem isn't so clear, maybe I can describe or upload a test version of him.:)

yeah i think that was reported before and i had a weird issue with Meiji that did the same that I unfortunately dont remember what I did. I think cfkane resolved.

my other guess would be to try to import it like this and then re-export and then swap add alpha etc. sometimes blender fixes the textures
