I hate sterotypes about college

"Well, you have to take drugs!" Uhm nope, I never took drugs. It is stupid. "You have to get drunk" Nope, no I don't.
I'm betting you'd be less pissed off about college stereotypes when high.

Not when drunk, you'd probably rant about it to random strangers in the loo, but at least you've vented your frustration.

I rent a 4 bedroom townhouse in a gated community with 3 other grad students, its a pretty sweet deal comes with a swimming poo, tennis court and clubhouse. Much better than the dorms and the rent is really reasonable when split between the 4 of us. Just because you move out doesn't mean you have to live in a crappy place.

That's pretty sweet, aside from the swimming poo. Somebody should really take care of that :p

In fact if you can get 8 or 10 friends together there are mansions available for rent these days in the suburbs and each of you would only be paying a small part of it. I just recently saw a 10 bedroom Tudor style mansion for rent to students. The weak housing market has really been a blessing for students.

Here where I live, out-of-town parents will often buy a house "for" their kids - they then rent out the rest of the bedrooms and that pretty much pays for mortgage.. Then when their kids graduate, they can sell and make a profit, or continue to rent.

Yeah, sounds to me like he just needs to get high, or laid, or both.

can probably say that to about 100% of people though

Also at some point in your life (unless you want to live with your parents forever) you are going to have to go out and live on your own. In the time before you get settled into a career (not a job, mind) that is going to involve sharing an apartment, and possibly a room with somebody else, and odds are, you aren't going to know that person. Again, wouldn't you prefer to learn how to do that in a relatively controlled environment (as in you can complain to your RA/housing administration and get him/yourself relocated elsewhere if the guy is particularly a douche), rather than out in the wide world where nobody is going to care if your roommate refuses to do the dishes for 2 months?

Nope. Send me a check for $10,000 dollars so I can move to the dorm 5 minutes from my house and I be happy to do it. :)

I don't do drugs, I do need to get laid though.

"I don't do drugs", man, you should become a cyclist!

Whenever someone says they don't do drugs or have never done drugs because of xyz reason of self-righteousness I usually avoid them like the plague.

Why?:p

Man, if you're posting like you do while straight, then yes, I'd say saying staying off drugs is wise ;)

And yeah, you do need to get laid (hint....ease off the cashews and milk agenda while attempting to woo the lucky lass, she may not find it as fascinating as you do, oddly)

Surprisingly I do keep my video game life away from my RL life... just a personal thing. I do want to try to get a custom made leather jacket done with total war stuff from my MP career though.

But yeah, I do wanna get laid.

Because only drug users are decent people, and those who don't do drugs are all just stuck-up pricks, right?

Nope!

I'm not sure that's true. It's been a feature of some drug users, I've observed, that they do tend to proselytize their habit to others. It tends to legitimize it for them.

Not an invariable rule I know. But if you think something is good then you'll recommend it to others.
