I HATE SuperDry Japan.

The BBC wrote an article about my watch, and there is a wikipedia article listing Guantanamo Bay detainees who have been accused of wearing my watch.

My watch is just that badass.

If you think someone is a sheep just because of what they wear, then you place too much value on fashion and have a shallow understating of what originality is. A lot of people don't really care much about what they wear despite wearing a popular brand and focus on some other aspect of their life. In contrast there are plenty of people that rarely change their clothes, but are obsessed with computers and video games.

Also, this argument about price is backwards. Because of this thing called sales, an $80 pair of pants can be purchased for as little as $18. At this price point you have no idea how much someone is spending on their clothing. The majority of people that buy cheap clothes stick to popular brands. Furthermore, a lot of the non-conformist, super original, non-drones are spending some serious coin on their wardrobe. Clothes that don't sell in huge quantities can actually be expensive.

Now that's a little harsh on the glasses considering your choice of models . You can't polish a turd
Hey now! Jennifer Lopez looks good!

Spoiler :
Ok, ok, only from the back.

While I'm here, in the US I notice a lot of "Love Pink" crap. Not as prevalent as it sounds like this SuperDry stuff is though.

A lot of people do care about their clothes. Apparantly, you've been lucky enough never to have met any. Some go as far as judging people solely on the brand of clothes they wear. Therefore, they are willing to pay extra €, £ and $ to buy clothes of that brand.

I hate these people.

Yeah, casio watches are "cool"
You're right, they're way too mainstream now. I knew they had jumped the shark when I saw them in Urban Outfitters.

And in case you're wondering, I was browsing UO ironically.

So what's "oriental" about it?

It is named and branded to present the appearance of an oriental connection. I believe you've read too deeply into one aspect of my comment and in the process missed the joke (admittedly not a particularly funny one).

I'll offer my thoughts on this later, but did anyone else think the OP was mad about this?

アサヒ スーパードライ (Asahi su-pa- dry!)

Yeah, I thought that too. And I'm mad about it too.

Then you clearly have too much spare time on your hands.

Aren't you judging people by the brand of clothes they wear?

You don't need a status symbol, you're a cute girl :p Only insecure guys buy expensive watches.

Abaddon's watch cost £8....

To the OP + others, what do you think about those "trendy" brown trousers every man is wearing nowadays? My housemate got some recently, my opinion of him went down a notch :P
