I use one of these:

While riding one of these:

And talking on one of these:

But it was hard to pay attention so I ran into some of these:

I use a manual, if you're not bothered about the closeness then an electric razor is perfect and is generally quicker i find (not sure why others are saying it is longer). However, if you have to shave for work/need to be clean shaven on a regular basis then you can't go wrong with a manual.

I got one of those manual razors which vibrates whilst you shave, apparently it makes the hairs stand on end allowing a cleaner shave, i'm not sure whether it actually does this but it wakes you up in the morning.

Another point to address is shaving cream. Surface area wise (since I shave entire head except eyebrows) I shave more than most. I shave in a hot shower without shaving cream or a mirror and that works well.

I think your shaving something other than your face...

Three-blade disposables. Use for a week or two, toss.

I just rub the blades against my forearm in the opposite direction to resharpen them. Lifehacker had an interesting article on disposable shavers and how to keep them for a long time.

Well Civfanatics, how do you trim your facial hair? Are you an electric razor guy or are you a manual kind of guy?

I use an electric myself.

Edit: lulz at my typo in the poll

Electric. I don't wanna have to smear cream on my face. Works like a charm too.

Now your typo has me going: what is cheaper, electric or manual? If manual I'll have to switch... the more money my parents save, the more they can give me to invest.

Seeing as both my razors are crappy...

I general take off the hair with a normal razor then use an electric to clean up the bloodied mess left over >>

I use an electric razor, but I hear that manual ones give you a much cleaner shave. I'm tempted to try it out except that I'm deathly afraid of cutting myself like an idiot.

Every CFC thread must degrade into either religion or politics. So I present to you that question:
Is shaving a rejection of your likeness to God, and thus, a sin?

I don't often shave, but on the rare occasion I do it's electric.

With a rusty serrated steak knife...

For some reason, that reminds me of this sharp knife downstairs that's sticking out of the dirty dishes basket. While it's securely down so I shouldn't have to worry, I keep hallucinating a feeling of it against my throat whenever I see it. Like sympathy pains but without anybody to sympathise with.

Anyway, I'll state the obvious: what is that a reference to? :p

Cheap disposable razors for me. The times I've used an electric razor I've never been able to get a very good shave, although I've probably only used very cheap kinds.
I'm a freak as far as how thick my beard is and how fast it grows. I can grow a certifiable beard in 4-5 days. I need to shave every day and sometimes twice if I don't want 5:00 shadow.
