If you had to take over the world, what country would you invade first?

The first state I would claim in my quest to take over the world... or rather the nation I would want to have my palace in... would be France.

France; a beautiful land. I could control Paris. I will have access to fine wine, fine food and fine art, with Versailles as my palace...

O and the French has one of the most strongest armed forces in the world and has access to the 3rd largest supply of atomic weapons.

Plus: if I fail at least I could copy Napoleon and drink a small glass of wine on a very large plate during my sorrows.

I've never been a huge fan of Risk as a strategy game, but the best early-to-mid-game position is clearly controlling the Americas. Asia is too vulnerable to superstacks and lacks chokes. The instability there will prevent anybody from being able to construct a strong position without a great deal of luck. And stating that Asia is the end goal is kind of silly: the whole world is the end goal, and the late game in Risk is effectively nonexistent due to superstacks.

China preferably. Already a large army present as well as a war fatigue that doesn't set in a quickly as it does with Western nations that can be used to subjugate the smaller countries around Asia. From there, take over India to more than double my army, then invade Africa and South America. I'd then launch a human wave assault on Europe and then a full all out assault on North America.

"Human wave" is a tactical term, and not a particularly meaningful one. Also, it does not describe PLA doctrine and has not at any point in its existence.

Based on my experiences with Risk, I'd probably go for somewhere in South America. Maybe Chile or Brazil.
