I have a moustache but I want a beard I have some hariy stubble and such but not much in terms of a beard. I have'nt shaved in at least a month and there's still not much. And I look werid with stubble.
Any tips on how to grow a good beard? Any of you have beards?

Vitamin B (beer) and shave often (once a day).

And get rid of the moustache, then you'll kill one of the rumours at your school.

Give it time. Facial hair comes from horomones during maturation. I have also heard that shaving makes it come in thicker, but I have yet to see any evidence of truth behind that claim.

No tip to give you on how to grow one. Either you have the genes for it or you don't.

I grow one every year from October to March, and have for many years now. I tend to keep it trimmed roughly like Al Borland from "Home Improvement" kept his, maybe a bit longer. Been able to grow a beard since 7th grade, which leads me to believe that someone in my not too distant family tree had romantic relations with an orangutan.

The myth that shaving more often will make your hair grow faster is false. It will, however, possibly make the hair itself thicken up and get coarser.

EDIT: "and -> had"

Correct, if you want to grow a beard all you have to do is shave; then facial hair will be more visible in time.
However note that in the future you wont find shaving that fun, and probably you wont like the beard either, although some people remain bearded :)

It took me awhile before I was able to grow a beard or any facial hair. The only solution for a quick fix is drugs, but that is illegal. It will take time for you to grow a beard, so build up you testoterone by playing sports.

Yeah, different people have different hair patterns. Or as blink182 would say, "He has no hair on his entire body, but a f****** wolverine growing in his pants."

I, for one, am a hairing dude. I got hair EVERYWHERE, except for my nose and ears (thank God).

Get rid of my Hitler moustache? Never dammit!! I want an Osama beard to supplement it.

Hitler moustache? Oy...!

I think shaving is the only way to really stimulate facial hair. Keep a clean chin until it starts to feel like sandpaper in the morning, THen ye shall be ready..

even on your palms and the soles of your feet?
how about your lips?

as for the OP.
you're trying too early. give up on it for a while.
if your facial hair isnt growing rampantly yet (where you have to shave it everyday, or at LEAST every couple days) then you wont be able to grow a beard that you'll think is worth it. it'll look like dirt on your face more then anything else.

so just wait.

I don't grow beards, I just look like I need to shave ;)

I have 1, .5 cm long hair on my chin. That's it. No point getting help from me. ;)

Let former US President Rutherford B. Hayes be your guide:

Though I must say I much prefer the facial hair of President Chester Arthur:

Facial Hair only starts to grow aged 17+. And then, it's usually jsut an "underbeard"

On a related note, does anyone know women that prefer beards to being clean-shaven? I don't know any, myself.

Me neither, but i wish they would. Shaving means is either getting up earlier or having less time for the morning coffee.
