How about I give you Libya and a chunk of southern Russia as compensation?

This is how I propose the new borders would look:

I get the old Novgorodian territories while I give some away, the Caliphate gets the region around Moscow, China loses Central Asia but gains Siberia as compensation.

84% votes NO for these reasons: awkward border in former russia, the near uselessness of libya (oil and not much else), giving venice too much power and the capability to destroy Byzantium, little reason why they need this island for trading purposes ( you embargoed us, and i see no reason why you cant hire a lot more people for your merchant fleet you have like 60 million people.), giving carthage too much power again. impossible Caliphate borders.

i make a counter deal: the Caliphate gets a Crimean Naval base (to make more sense) i give up Libya to Carthage with a Byzantine oil company operating their and only there, Russia to Israel providing i can buy military and civilian supplies as needed.

Venice will get naval bases at Greece, Crete, and Croatia, and i give up Malta to whoever Double A controls.

I'm more or less supportive of TK's proposal; if Byzantium doesn't feel comfortable with its northern Black Sea foothold, the Caliphate is more than willing to assume responsibility, at least for a trial period.

The only major issue I have is that Chrissi was purchased by China from Byzantium, and so should remain in Chinese hands.

no. whats the point? you do not need that much land for a trading empire, and these lands will be totally empty and i ahve to move mroe than 10 million people, making Athens, Corinth and Zagreb minor cities. which is kinda impossible.

you all hate Byzantium. need i remind you greece was roman and then Byzantine for virtually its entire life? venice barely held it for a decade if that. they legally do NOT have any claims to it whatsoever. and as i said, Southern Greece is a core area. I CANNOT GIVE UP ANY CORE TERRITORIES WITHOUT SEVERE CONSEQUENCES

i can give Venice naval bases. those are just as good.

hey how about this map?

i gave Venice Libya, and a base in the middle fo the Aegean sea, gave them sicily and Malta, gave china the route to the Caspian, enlarged pacifistan and gave up my Russian lands to the caliphate who now has an appropriate naval base there.

that map is acceptable. we will begin evacuating everything(all humans and animals and everything man made) from the venetian held areas and moving soldiers to the Byzantine held areas.

we are currently establishing an oil industry. we need 2.5 million barrels a day ( up from 2 million), so we will match the production to that level.
