Doge Omega, under extreme pressure from the citizens of The Most Senre Republic, presents changes to the proposed map.

For a reason for each

Venezuela-Venice has repeatedly offered to buy the Latino country named in its honor from the Droopy Empire. After seeing them gobble up /an entire continent/, and the new map giving them even MORE land, Venice again asks for Venezuela. Unlike every other claim, we can give this one up, due to the lack of a historical reason.

Sicily-The island has never been part of the Byzantine Empire, always traditionally being associated with Italy. When Italy fell apart, those greedy Greeks stole the island from Italians. After Venice got the peninsula under control, Byzantium refused to give up Sicily.

Sardinia-Same thing with Sicily, only with Carthage.

Southern Greece and Crete-Both areas have been most likely the most important colony in the republic, as it allowed us to check the balance of the other Med powers. Now, that Venice is back again, we request these colonies back, so that neither empire has Med dominice.

Istren and Dalmatien-These two colonies were the most loyal to Venice, remaing with the old Republic to the very end. They were also the only ones not to rebel after Venice was conquered, but due to lack of a Venetian presence, they were gobbled up by Byzantium. Due to their undying loyalty to Venice, not Byzantium, that colony should be brought back to our hands.

And since they aren't colored, I claim all the unclaimed Aegean islands.

Finally, I propose we just leave Shißeria (Sierra Leone and Liberia) out of any map revisions, unless anyone actually wants.

the areas that you claim are Byzantine core areas. if i give them up, the population may take matters to their own hands.

i am not a powerhungry person SIR and these islands will belong to Byzantium or else!

citizen ruiots in all major cities are continuing to protesst Venitan exppansion, they promise that if venice gets the land, there WILL be trouble weather the Emperor Authorizes or not! also i may be forced to abdicate or be killed or somethign grisly.

the Byzantine intelligence got word that the rouge army is gaining strength, and also promises to destroy venice! they have enough men and planes to capture and burn venice to the ground. the Army is mobilizing to destroy the Rouge army first. no one burns down Venice without my orders.

If Carthage will let me have the Carribean, then Omega can have Venezula, given that I still get 1/3 of the oil production and my drilling companies can stay in buisiness.

Sicily was Italian until 2009, you only had it for a freaking year. No core on that. All other claimed areas were Venetian until the 1700s. So, again, no. freaking. cores. Venice was it's own empire back in the day, ya know.

EDIT: Unlike the other ones, I don't honestly care about Venezuela. However, if you allow me to buy it, I'll allow Droopy corporations drill for a reduced price.

Actually, Sardinia has a history of Carthaginian rule. However, we recently conducted a plebiscite and 55% of people don't. care whether they're with Carthage or Venice so I guess we can transfer the island to the Venetians.
