Imperium Offtopicum XI

1 army claims 1 province, yeah

1 army and 1 point claims 1 province.

You need both of those, and 1 navy to claim an overseas province.

EDIT: Please list all of your income and expenses in your orders. It makes updates much, much easier.

I claim a total of 32 provinces this turn - the 8 in the interior of South America with armies, and the remaining 24 with navies.

Alright, so:
Mosher - you blitzed, and forgot that you needed points for claims.
Ailedhoo - you forgot you needed points for claims, and that you needed armies in addition to navies
Gruekiller - You blitzed, tried to claim overseas without armies, and forgot about points
PF - You forgot to tell me what the heck was going on

Hrm. Well, I'll roll it back to 12 new territories, if by 'blitzing' you mean claiming an unreasonable amount all at once. I'll expend 16 points total. 1 army each for the adjacent territories in South America; 1 army and 1 navy each for the coastal province north of me in South America, for the island in the Pacific, and for the two territories in South Africa. I've marked my planned area of expansion in yellow for the benefit of the Green Empire (or whatever it is called).

Is this more acceptable?

Blitz=claiming a province adjacent to a province you are claiming but not adjacent to your actual territory.

Blitz means you can't use an army to claim a province, and then another army to claim a province that you couldn't claim before you took the last province in the same turn.

Holy cow, wunderbar.

@civO

Uhh.. I'll get back to you when I know what I'm doing. Still, those are the claims I'm going for.

Secondly.. please change my name to the Third Reich. :)

And as Germany, I should be allowed to blitz :3

Oh, I see. I'll maintain my latest set of claims regardless. I don't really need to claim a whole lot this turn.

Your latest set of claims still includes blitzing, though.
Basically, if it doesn't already border you, and you can't send a navy there, it's blitzing.

It was a balmy day on the River Plate in the winter capital of Awyr Da. Gwyneth I Glyndwr, Queen of Y Wladfa, reflected with some amusement on June being 'Winter', but she'd grown accustomed to this particular facet of life in the southern hemisphere over the last few years. Unlike many of the Welsh residents of her kingdom, the monarch had been raised in Wales, among the green fields of Anglesey. Regardless of her status as a near-foreigner, her subjects, Welsh and Argentine alike, had been accepting of her as their sovereign. And for her part, Gwyneth had grown to love this country with its open plains and deserts, so different from home.

The monarch's musings were interrupted by a rapping at the door. "Enter." A moment later, in strode her prime minister, Rhys Owain. "Rhys," she commented with a blink of surprise. "I wasn't expecting to see you today."

"You called me here, your majesty," Owain replied hesitantly.

"Oh, of course." A smirk of self-deprecation tugged at the edge of her lips for a moment. She had been so wrapped-up in her thoughts that she'd forgotten entirely. "I believe you were to brief me on the geopolitical situation?"

With a nod, the prime minister strode to her desk, spreading a map of the world over its surface. In the north of the continent were Tyrantia and the Democratic Latin Federation, but beyond those nations, Y Wladfa had no close neighbors. "I'm of the opinion that we should expand our territory, your majesty."

"Pardon?" The queen was again brought out of a trance, this time examining the map of the world. As what he said registered, the queen looked hesitant. "Why's that? We certainly have more than enough space and resources to meet our needs."

"Be that as it may, the Imperial Party has just won the seats of a majority of the members of parliament." Here there was a tone of regret in his voice. "They insist on expanding, mostly overseas, to secure our dominance of the southern hemisphere." He regarded the map for a moment. "And loathe as I am to admit it, the areas which they've targeted for our interest would certainly help us to cement our trade lanes to Asia and Europe."

He gestured to the islands of the South Pacific, and to South Africa. These were marked with a lighter shade of Celtic green.

Gwyneth stared out over the city for a moment longer. "Make it so, Prime Minister." She hoped she was making the right decision.

To: Nations of South America
From: Y Wladfa

We plan no further expansion on our continent other than the three provinces marked in yellow on the maps we published. We hope you will divide what's left reasonably.

General Statement
From: Y Wladfa

We declare the South Pacific Islands, South Africa, and New Zealand to be areas of interest for our further expansion. While by no means will we enforce any preemptive claims on these areas, we would appreciate it if other powers would allow us to expand here without obstruction.

From: Tyrantia
To: Y Wladfa

Fine, you can have those three provinces. Rest assured, though, that if you expand any further than that, you Welsh will no longer have a country of your own.

Spend 26 on Armies, use those and 24 points to claim the following 24 provinces.
Spoiler :

I will be recruiting 20 armies and 9 navies with the use of 29 points.

Set 11 of the armies with 11 points for 11 land claiments.

Set 9 of the armies to be carried by 9 navies with 9 points for 9 sea claims.

Claims below:

Land for the Democratic.png

50 to armies
26 to navies
50 to occupy provinces

Mali will accept a Spanish presence in North Africa not larger that the yellow part on the following map. Spanish presence in Central Africa is to be negotiated, as is possible Arabian colonisation.

Wait... can the income be converted into points? Just wondering in case I need to do another edit.
