Tyrantia (Former names include: The Empire of Doom, Destructopia, and "Wait, We Seriously Conquered All This Land and Now We Need to Name It?")

History: Once upon a time, a guy realized that South America was suddenly and spontaneously completely devoid of leadership. So, in a drunken decision, he and ten friends invaded it. When the woke up from their hangover, they discovered they were now in control of a good chunk of South America. Unfortunately for them, several other people also had come to the same conclusion. They were ran out in a week. The people that ran them out were killed after a month. The people after them ended up killing each other at a bar. So now this government's here. How long will they last? Who knows.

The Fourteenth Spanish Republic

Capital: Madrid

National Anthem: Himno de Riego

Currency: The peseta

Languages: Castilian, Catalan, Basque

Foreign Policy: Think sort of Late 19th century Europe with an angry socialist twist - The 14th Republic seeks to expand its colonial influence mostly in Africa in an attempt to "liberate" the peoples there from oppression. Though some would see this policy as blatant imperialism (and they may be right) the Spanish treat it as just and proper, a gentleman's way of dividing up the continents. Spain is also willing to go to great lengths to support the oppressed masses of other nations and it is suspected that they would even go so far as aggressive actions against nations that they see as too Bourgeois or Capitalist.

Economic Policy: Republican Spain seeks to first benefit the masses. A highly regulated and planned economy governs the 14th Republic and its tight grip of the economy does not tend to slip. It has especial interest in the extractive industries in its colonies such as the booming Oil industry in the Spanish Equatorial Region. Strip mining is commonplace and great factoreis have lept up in the ports on Spain's coast as the goods from across the world are shipped in.
