Roman Empire cultural gaffe
Apparently, no one, not even the senate, thought to include the kurdish (which is numerous inside controlled turkey) as a primary ethnic group, not to mention the other minorities such as Bosinaks, Iranians, and some others.
the whole embarrassing affair was thankfully mitigated in a big way by the Emperor allowing everyone equal rights, not just turkish and greek peoples.
Emperor Andreas I, and Ahmet Demir, Prime minister of Rome apologized to the Kurdish people for their "stupid mistake caused by not thinking right".
the Kurdish communities are rather forgiving, primarily because they already had the equal rights, from the Emperor, and didn't really want special treatment anyway. they still had their own reigonal schools, their way of life and culture was still intact, and so on.
other communities feel the same way, more or less, because the Emperor's proclamation of equal rights for everyone was taken to heart, and was not contradicted.
the Emperor did promise to keep the various minorities cultures alive and flourishing inside the Roman Empire.
