WORLD EVENTS
NEW SPANNISH GOVERNMENT ASSEMBLED. Madrid, Spain. A conservative American businessman has siezed control of Spain in series of shady political deals. Political analysts in the United States and Spain both seem to believe that this could be a sign of a rise of Fascism in Spain. The Spanish people are outraged at a foreigner leading their nation and dissent has massively risen. (+15% Dissent)
FRENCH SELL GUANAYA. Rio de Janerio, Brazil. Brazillian and Free French diplomats have concluded a deal resulting in the sale of French Guanaya to the Brazillian Empire. The imperialist supports of the Brazillian government laud this in Brazil's manifest destiny to unite South America.
SOVIETS DEPLOY LEE TANK. Rome, USER. Soviet forces have been equipped with the mainstay of the Free American Alliance's armored divisions, as New Englander entreprenuers sold the designs for the Lee tank to Soviet interests. Confederate businessmen have condemned this action by their ally and have petitioned the government for an official condemning of New England.
TECHNOLOGY SPREAD. Everywhere. Numerous deals and trades of unusual nature have resulted in the widespread deployment of new kinds of tanks and planes all over the world. One such bizarre example is the new use of the Russian T-21 tank in their old rivals, Japan's, army.
ENGLISH CIVIL WAR BEGINS. London, England. Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain under King George V has siezed control of the government and instituted a communist regime after the late king's death. King George VI was set up as a puppet king, and the self-declared Free England have rallied to Edward VIII, who is alleged to be the rightful king. The military has been divided as well as the Empire. India and Indochina has declare for the Free English with promised of independance for after the war. Singapore has been held by communist supported military forces. Oceania and Indian Ocean possessions have also declared support for the new communist regime. New Zealand and the western possessions have all declared support for George VI. One exception is Belize City, which garrison has declared for the Free English. New Delhi has been established as the main base of Free English operations with local Indian support. The navy has also been divided, although most ships' captains have supported Edward VIII and the Free English.
UNITED STATES JOINS THE AXIS. Chicago, USA. President Kuhn has announced the formal admission of the United States to the Axis Alliance of Freedom, and welcoming gifts have been sent from many Axis members.
DISTASTER IN AMERICA. Detroit, USA. A combined effort by American, German, Russian, and Scottish air specialists to build a steel plated aircraft failed miserably when the American project leader, Christie, died in the crash of the prototype along with several other important scientists and political observers from all nations. The governments of all four nations loss massive amounts of resources from these failed attempts and new world thought is that steel is too heavy for aircraft to be made out of. Therefore new designs are being formulated for expansion on wooden aircraft. (germany loses 9 IC, Russia loses 7 IC, USA loses a whopping 23 IC, Scotland loses 3 IC, price of Steel Aircraft rises to 100 IC.)
DUTCH FIRST TO CONSTRUCT EUROPEAN SUPER BATTLESHIP. Rotterdam, Netherlands. Dutch shipyards are proud to announce the dedication of the HMS Duke of Oranje, the largest European battleship ever constructed. This is by the generosity of Japanese consultation and support.
BRAZILLIAN RECOVERY TEAM FINDS BLAME. Rio de Janerio, Brazil. A Brazillian source has leaked to the media that the Brazillian navy has recovered the sunken submarine from lost month's unidentified attack on the Brazillian fleet. The submarine was fortunately sunk in shallow water and has been convincingly determined to be of Colombian origin.
TURKEY DISBANDS IRREGULAR FORCES. Ankara, Turkey. Turkish leaders have announced the disbanding of the last remnants of the Ottomon Empire. The irregular forces of of Turkey have been removed as a major factor in their military and the new Turkish army will be based around regular forces much like their fellow members of the Axis, Germany and Russia. Similar reforms have passed in Turkey's Middle Eastern neighbor of Persia. Some of the irregulars in both nations have continued service as regular army groups.
CUBA LAUNCHES UPRISING. Havanna, Disputed Region. A pro-fascist revolt has siezed control of Cuba away from Spain. USCA forces have moved into the region and siezed control of the island to the popular support of the military and fascist faction in Cuba. Some communist unrest has taken place in Havanna and Neuvitas, but has been squelched by Central American and Fascist Cuban forces. This revolt has once more hurt the Spannish economy considerably and has brought even more chaos to beleaugered Spain. On the other hand, the industry and economy of Cuba now belongs to the USCA and has caused a boon to the Central American economy. (+5% Dissent to Spain)
FRENCH CIVIL WAR
FREE FRENCH BEGIN DEPLOYMENT OF LIGHT MACHINE GUNS. France. Free French forces have begun using submachine guns based on Irish designs, and have made considerable progress in defeating not only Communist French forces, but Soviet forces supporting them. The arrival of more T-21s and volunteers from other nations as well has been of considerable use to the northern French forces.
ENGLAND WITHDRAWS FROM CHERBOURG. Cherbourg, France. English forces withdrew from the city due to massively increased internal tensions not only in the colonies but at home as well. The threat of international condemnation from a wide variety of nations as well as numerous embargoes nearly forced a confrontation leading to global war. All parties are relieved at this new development.
KONDOR LEGION BEGINS SERVICE IN FRANCE. Paris, France. A military organization known as the Kondor Legion, consisting of Dutch and Belgain military volunteers has entered into service under the command of the French Army. Over seventy thousand men have entered the Kondor Legion and are now fighting for Free France.
RUSSIAN VOLUNTEERS ARRIVE IN FRANCE. Cherbourg, France. After English withdrawal, Russian volunteers and military forces have been moved into France, believed in preparation for support of the Free French cause.
GERMAN AND SOVIET FORCES MOVE INTO FRANCE. German forces have moved into northern France to shadow England's withdrawal. Though they have not actively participated in battle like the Soviets have in favor of the Communists, the Germans are believed to have provided food and clothing to Free French refugees and soldiers. Cherbourg is also being repaired from English occupation by German engineers.
FREE FRENCH WIN MAJOR VICTORY ON THE LOIRE. Free French forces, with the heavy support of the Kondor Legion have managed to cripple the supply lines of the bridgehead on the Loire created in May by Communist forces. Using new submachine guns, Free French forces crossed the river and outflanked communist forces, defeating Soviet and Communist French divisions protecting the region. The bridgehead was withdrawn, though the communists suffered heavy casualties in retreat. Despite this success, heavy Soviet counterattacks forced the Free French almost all the way back to the riverline. Tank battles between advance communist Lee tanks and the Free French T-21 have definitely proven the superiority of the T-21 in battle as compared to the Lee.

TEXAN-CONFEDERATE WAR
SEIGE OF DALLAS CONTINUES. Dallas, Texas. Confederate forces have continued to besiege the city as Texan forces attempted a minor breakout towards the blunted Texan counterattack spearhead to the northwest. However the attack was contained and once more the Texans lost heavy casualites. All observers with the Confederate Army in the region firmly agree that the city must surrender by the end of July.

TEXANS LAUNCH MAJOR COUNTER OFFENSIVE. Lubbock, Texas. Texan forces, with new Light Tanks have launched a major offense, surprising the Confederate army. The Confederates were caught off guard as they were awaiting orders from President Forrest, and the Texans were halted just east of Lubbock. Several dozen Lee tanks were destroyed by the Texan Light Tanks, which managed to catch a Confederate armored division off guard.

Neither English nations counts as a Great Power anymore, and they have been demoted to an Independant Power.

About the difference in price between biplanes and fighters, fighters are not only superior aircraft, they are much easier to build and can be mass produced.

luckymoose gave me an interesting idea for the NES, and I will spend my time at work today fleshing it out. But in the meantime, you'll have your 3 IC points. If anything you'll ultimately get it for free since it is a good idea.

Also about tanks: You can only build the kind of tank you've learned. However, you can buy better tanks from the nations that CAN build them. For example a nation which builds Lee tanks could buy T-21s from another nation if the other nation is willing to build then sell them.
