Aegis Vest makes her look like an actual soldier, as opposed to the vanilla N7 Armor and the Shield Harness. Capacitor Chestplate is useful but looks ass-ugly, and the Kestrel Armor doesn't have a separate female chestplate so it looks really weird on femsheps.
I'm actually only using the Kestrel shoulder pads; the arms are the Stabilization Gauntlets and the legs are Life Support Webbing.
Mini-rant: some of the ME2 helmets are absolutely appalling. Couldn't they have used Dragon Age code to remove the God-awful things during conversations and cut-scenes?
Yeah, I just use the Kuwashii Visor instead of any of the helmets. None of the clothing pieces really gives you a sizable boost to killing power or protection, so the primary purpose of mixing and matching is aesthetic, and the visor just looks awesome.
It does, it does. Skye, my Adept, wore the visor all through her career and her specific hairstyle made it look like the rear blue light was actually the neck implant that all human biotics receive.
