It is great too, but in the small avatar size i think more geometrical shapes look better

Well, I did find this one, which is pretty close.

That's closer to the Russian double eagle.

What a surprise.

The double-headed eagle is said to symbolize the fact that the Empire controlled both sides of the Bosphorus, was in Europe and Asia.

Later it was picked up by other countries, perhaps most notably by Russia, which was named the third Rome anyway
