Most have a low opinion of the OT forums and don't bother with us. Some are also indimidated and don't want to hop into a big old trollfest.

One of the things that I think is bad for OT is how infrequently people post. Bear with me.
There are usually somewhere between 50-100 people viewing it, yet the post rate is nowehre near what one would expect for that number. I wonder maybe if its because there are cliques, etc...

That said, yes I participate a lot. And I don't stir up really large amounts of trouble. But I wouldn't say that too many people find what I say interesting. Nor am I such a good writer that it encourages people to come out of the woodwork to participate. Nor do I know people from elsewhere that would like to come here and participate. (or, in fact the one that would, you couldn't pay me enough to give him the link
)However, I have not connected well with people here. And at this late date, I don't anticipate that changing. So while some people could maybe liven the place up, I'm not one who can help with that.

Also, the quality of OT is quite consistent. Consistently going downhill. :3
I see no problems with OT at the moment other than the generally consistent cycle of interesting and uninteresting threads, with quality (or level of interest; it's hard to separate the two) going up and back down (or down and back up) throughout the week.

You're posting on a forum based on a notoriously addictive video game. How can you say this? Personally, I think OT reached its golden age in the ESB/Mowque era. It's still good now, even though a certain poster has made it a lot weirder.
Because the notoriously addictive video game gets repetitive after a certain amount of time. I haven't been here long enough for the forum to do that yet.

There are a lots, but I'm thinking of a certain Czech-Canadian devoutly Orthodox Neonazi Pan-Slavicist teenager who attends a Catholic school that makes frequent flagrant violations of canon law and used to be homeless. Does that narrow it down at all?Who?

Yeah, it suceked pretty bad for awhile then there was a brief period where it looked like it was gaining some originality & life again & now it kind of sucks again. Fortunately, while we've lost some quality posters, a few still remain.
I continue to hang out here out of momentum mostly.

I think OT is pretty decent lately. I'm not sure what people mean by cliques. If "cliques" is code for "fiftychat", let me just assure you guys that I can count on one hand the number of times we've ever done anything 'as a group' in the last 5 years or however long it is we've been around.
