INES Ib: Novus Ortus

Man... barely more economically powerful than upstart England after all those years. Lost a lot of land to those bloody Benjid Jews. You coulda let me keep Phoenicia. That was my favourite little conquest :p Nice to see Kyrianity's success though.

Would it be too much to simply get a religion stat added so we know who is predominately what? In lieu of the religion map, that is.

We believe it is time to place old conflicts in the past where they belong. Let our merchants prosper together.

((Assuming they've lightened up enough to trade :p))

TO: Khazaria

Friends to the north, we desire nothing but friendly relations and prosperous trade. What say you?

TO: Bulgar Khanate

May the Kyrios bless you and protect you. Raise his Holy Shield against your enemies and there will be none who can stand against you. We commend your efforts and look forward to a prosperous future.

((Uninspired diplo, FTW!))

Yes, actually. :( The last thing I need is one more stat to keep track of. However, IMHO, the religious allegiences of countries seem rather clear. If you want specific information, post or PM questions. I think I already said this. *Sigh*

We propose a trade agreement. The great waterway that is the Danube flows between our empires, connecting us. If we cooperate, we could turn it into a river of gold.

Luckymoose said:
We agree to this as long as Roman Trinitism is not washed out but absorbed.
Of course. We are now allied, correct? Where do you want to hold the council?

Do you wish to join the alliance between us and Iberia?

Cease with your incessant rhyming! Could you be any more annoying? I mean, damnit. Poetry. Ick. But yes, a 5 turn NAP would be lovely. Unless you start rhyming. If I get any more poetry, all deals are off.

Greetings, friends! Despite horrible experiences in Chinese history involving NAPs with people to the north, we'd like to offer you a Non-Aggression Pact.

Give me land, and give me wealth, or I swear, your nation will burn. And I'll divvy it up among people I like, eg Delhi, me, possibly Mongolia.

Rome is the center of Roman Trinitism. It is all too likely that tempers will flare there. We believe that a more neutral site would be better. We propose Genoa.

What is this treaty you speak of? You offer us an agreement writ upon stone? The only agreements we have ever abided by are those writ in blood, and forged in battle.

Of course! Did you recieve our diplomacy regarding the Viking threat.

Will you stand with us in defeating the Viking threat which threatens all our prosperity?

How's your scoring chart work?
See post #1450 in INES 1. I posted the files used and then some discussion follows. For this NES, I updated it so the model matches Imago's new stats. I developed three scores based on the weighting of different stats (domestic, international and military) and then weighted those scores to come up with an overall score.

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=4862468&postcount=1450

If you look over the files I've posted, and have any quesitons, just let me know. It is pretty easy to adapt to other NESes and once you get it set up it is fully automated to produce summary tables and graphs for each turn. All you have to do is enter the stats for the turn.

The Norse do not threaten us, and have not these hundred years. We have good trade ties to the Svear and the Danes. Any alliance signed specifically to oppose them would jeopardize that trade, and our prosperity.

We propose an alliance and trade agreement, to bring security and prosperity to our peoples.

I was going off stat descriptions. The Norse continue to raid the British Isles.

The alliance is mainly if one our nations were to be raided again then we would stand together to protect our common interests. I understand that the Svear and the Danes have become more peaceful. I just wanted this pact just in case they do come again and this pact would discourage further raiding. It is not against any kingdom or is it banning trade. It is we just we will not tolerate any Viking raids on our commerce and ports.

Apologies. We seem to have misunderstood your proposal. As long as it is a strictly defensive alliance, we agree.

We understand as we should have put more detail in our purposal. Hopefully this cooperation will heal the long wounds between the Celts and the English people.

Well, not stone. I was thinking something a bit more...malleable...but we can write in blood, if that's what you want. I mean, it seems a bit odd, but each to his own, I suppose. Or is that a refusal? I guess that's alright too. China doesn't want to fight you, but if you're absolutely certain you want to fight...so be it.

OOC: Mostly, I'm just deathly afraid of NESers that are better than me. Like Contempt. I am soooooo screwed when he decides to fight.

I didn't see me listed as Stockholm or whatever its called now...

So can I pick a new nation?

If so I would like to rule Tunis.... Or as i always call it Carthage.

so wat do ya say? Can i follow in Hannibals footsteps and be ruler of Carthage?

EDIT: Oh and if Tunis is not open can i be Japan? I always wanted an Island Empire ^^

Tunis is in no way Carthage.

And Perfectionist. Genoa is fine.
