Introducing and Developing the Interesting Times Concept.

Stalin... Militarist Germany?

You've been reading Mundus Exardesco, eh?

Either way, no it wasn't. In the Franco-Prussian war, French infantry training WAS generally better, yes, there were conscripts, but the French had a larger proffesional army.
What's Mundus Exardesco?

No problem with the rules here, just want to see an NES actually start.

This is a Civilized Zones map. Am still working on the rules, its taking much more time then I thought. This is what I have on Civilized Zones there.
At the beginning of the NES, and then at the beginning and the end of each IT, I will post a Civilized Zones map. As you could see on a CZ map, there are red zones, green zones and white "zones". Red is Primary CZ. Green is Secondary CZ. White is no CZ at all. You could start in either of the first two; in red, however, you will start out more developed and built-up and usually less threatened by barbarians... and more surrounded by NPCs. However, nations in these regions will all have to face major existing problems from the start - like corruption, overpopulation and stagnation. In green, you will be less developed, maybe even more backwards, and menaced by barbarians. HOWEVER - people in "green" countries are more ferocious, more warlike. It is easier to lead them to conquer and plunder the richer, but more stagnant, more lazy red countries then vice versa. Also, you COULD start in a white area if you could give a very good explanation as to why do you think you could do that.

Also - I STILL don't have a definite answer from you people. Two updates per week or one update per week?

Fine with the CZs. Go with one update a week, any more and I think my head will explode.

EDIT: On second thought, it will be summer, so update whenever you have enough orders. :D

YES! indus valley is red! mohenjo-daro could be in that area...

Roma is green, perfect...

I agree with NK.

Still working on the rules, but IMHO it shouldn't take too much more time.

More opinions on the updates? Btw, if twice a week, should it be at fixed dates?

Or should I do like in the good old NES2 I times and only wait until you people send in enough orders?

Well, um... right. I think I should have rules ready by tomorrow. And under tomorrow I don't mean the REAL tomorrow that comes in five minutes here, but the biochronical tomorrow that comes when I wake up. And fater that after I did whatever I have to finish.

Without a deadline,chaos is ensured.

Okay, just two more issues left, other then that the rules are done.

A) SO WHAT IS THE BLOODY FINAL DECISION ON THE UPDATES?! I'm leaning towards initial Wednesdays and Saturdays, with circumstance-based changes. Problem is, during July over a week will probably be blown out of my free time for a trip to St. Petersburg...

B) I'm considering removing the Cultural Groups thing - too complicated. Opinions?

It intereferes with my rule-writing, I have no an idea how to approach it.

Oh, and on the 6th of June (Tomorrow), Monday, 2005 AD, 11:26 GMT... You people will have to begin posting your reservations (no, not with countries, just that you DO reserve a place in the NES). I decided to go with the 15-player limit, for the beginning at least.

Jason, you asked for a 24-hour warning, and you've got it.
