OOC: Arrow Gamer, we had a favorable peace within our grasp; why on Earth did you reject it? Any peace we could get now will not be anywhere near as beneficial to us.
IC: The Romano-Yugoslavian Empire finds the demands of the Celtic Union excessive; just as you would not stand to see your puppet state (for lack of a better term) Norskandia suffer further territorial losses, so too do we find your demand that Italia cede southern France to be unacceptable; your request that Iberian lands be repatriated is iffy at best, given that they no longer have any power in Europe.
The only peace demands you have sent them that could be seen as just are the demands that Norway be returned to Norskandia & peace be declared with Prussia & the Free Republic.
It is regretful that we must sour our relations so soon after a successful peace negotiation, but the Italians, diplomactically inexperienced as they are, are our allies, and we cannot abandon them. There will be a fair peace, or no peace at all; given this, we propose the following peace between the Merchant Republic of Italia & the Celtic Union [for the purposes of the treaty, Norskandia is assumed to be part of the Celtic Union]:
- The Repatriation of Norway to the Celtic Union [Norskandia]
- Recognition of the Free European Republic
- Peace between Prussia & Italia
- Possible Payment of Reparations to the Celtic Union
@The Platonic Republic/Cape Republic, we would be more than willing to accept you offers of an alliance [assuming, of course, that by 'Greece' you meant 'The nation that controls Greece'] & academics
